    It does have G3 in it just to confuse people.

    Official Names is:
    LG G3 Beat
    LG G3 Vigor (AT&T, Sprint)
    LG G3 S

    However it isn't the "G3" which is their premium version of this product, where it contains better hardware,

    The resolution is fine, you wouldn't want a phone with these specs with a higher resolution display. Even the iPhone 6 has a similar resolution, albeit on a smaller screen. Apple are right about screen resolution, they set it at a level where the human eye can't see any pixels but maintain an optimal balance between performance and battery life. While others seem to be using it as a sales gimic to fool customers into getting a high resolution screen at the expense of battery life and performance.

      Speak for yourself, I've used both 720/1080p phones and can definitely tell the difference. Besides, as with the G2 (which has outstanding battery life) higher res phones are pushing the requirement to get better/longer lasting batteries.

  If you are happy with the price then add $50 to get a G2.

  If you are happy with the spec then save yourself $100 and get a Moto G.

  Dicksmith had Vodafone LG G3 16GB for $429 and its unlocked. You can still find stocks in some DS stores if you are lucky.
