It should be fast, it's usually sent from your nearest store…

There is a reason why NBA Live 15 is so cheap ;)

For those of us who play NBA2K15 will know!

  • +1

NBA LIVE 15 is also $29

    PS4

    Xbox One

Ignore. Edited into first comment :(

    $23.20 with this 20% off http://m.imgur.com/g2mGLEW

Are you sure that works? It says "Valid for one week" and was uploaded 2 months ago.

      • +4

It was a generic code so the valid for one week was false. Although, I used it a month ago and it has now been finished

        • I've been wondering if stores are still accepting it or not - has there been definite signs from JB saying they no longer accept the code?

        • +2

@Froogle90: this was the Saturday week after Christmas and he said it was expired then i played dumb and said oh I only printed it out this week lol

        • @taQ: I used it when Far Cry 4 came out.

  • I've heard NHL 15 is pretty stripped back game, anyone confirm?

    • +1

Yeah. Reviews seem to say so too. Probably why they've cut the price so early! Both EA Sport games were pretty average.

    • From someone who has the game I can certainly confirm this but the gameplay is miles ahead of anything before it. Depending on what modes you're into would determine if the game meets your needs or not.

      • so are you saying it's a good NHL game then? NBA Live 14 is rubbish.. haven't tried 15 yet… suppose to be much better but better off getting NBA2k15

        • +2

Yes as far as NHL games go the gameplay and physics is a big step up over previous games. I am a massive NHL fan and have had every hockey game since NHL94 but this one really is bare-bones in terms of features and depth if that's what you're looking for.

I can't comment on NBA games though as I don't play them.

        • @Jonesy77:

i really liked NHL2001 i think it was due to it being plain and simple..shoot, big hit, pass and sprint

is 15 like it or has that type of game play? i didnt like the last one i played, i think 11, as it started to get pretty complex

        • @cumova: i dont think nhl2001 would have aged well mate. Would look pixelated and blocky on todays big widescreens plus youd have to dig out your ps1 to play it.

        • @Jonesy77: i might take your advice and pick it up while it's relatively cheap… i love all sports game but have never really understood or gotten into NHL… but would love to find a good one to get into…

        • @wippy: I think playing the game is a great way to learn and get interested in the sport. I recommend selecting the Pittsburgh Penguins for your team.

      • what modes are good in '15?

        • 2v2 on the couch with mates!

  • BF4 was $5 on PS4 online over xmas

seem like a rip ever since i seen that :(

    • +1

Next Christmas it will be free on PS+

    • +1

      $5, where?

      • On the US store with their Xmas deals.

    • +2

really? i must have missed it…. well… PSN was down all xmas so i couldn't have seen it even if i was looking for it

    • +2

can't seem to recall that… and I look all the time

      • +1

On the US store with their Xmas deals.

  • +1

Is BF4 worth getting? I just finished COD Ghosts so I'm looking for another fps to play.

    • +2

      Halo

    • Not really worth it for singleplayer if that's your main interest. Better options would be the Master Chief Collection, Far Cry 4 or CoD: Advanced Warfare.

If you're alright with first person but minimal shooting, Alien Isolation is fantastic and one of the standout original games of the year.

    • Do you play the multiplayer? Because battlefield multiplayer has been (imo) miles ahead of COD for years. If you're a single player only person COD is usually more impressive than battlefield, although I thought BF4 was way better than BF3 in the campaign side of things.

      • -1

No point comparing COD to BF multiplayer. Games are totally different and either demands dedication for the fan. Fans of COD think BF is ho hum and vice versa. You're stating your personal preference as fact.

        • +3

Well I did say 'in my opinion'… :P

  • +1

Good price but still doesn't beat dick's $19.95 sale.

    • Yeah, that sale reset my thermostat for good game prices for PS4

  • The NBA Live is an error. It's actually Live 14 for $29, I confirmed this with staff in store today. Their online link is wrong (the description shows 14 but the link and image shows 15).

    • damn was going to buy it

      • It's a very good game this year. Check with your local store, the guy in Brisbane city had no idea the website even showed that price, so maybe he was wrong?

        • definitely not an error, its even on the website employee was probably just clueless

        • -1

So an uninformed staff member told you something without actually ringing up the price on the computer and you believed them?

That's not how you 'confirm' pricing.

        • @kamoi: When a staff member tells you no and also scans and displays the full price, that's confirmation enough.

        • @Phreakuency:

When a staff member tells you no and also scans and displays the full price, that's confirmation enough.

Which one did they scan? PS4 or Xbox One?

        • @Phreakuency:

Looks like you didn't fall for the trap.

Reason I asked was because I had actually called the CBD stores when this deal was first posted and they only had NBA Live 14 in stock. Difficult to scan something they don't have :P

    • All text, images, and links etc. point to 2015…

Bought one, so will see how this pans out.

    • Even if it was a mistake the website is enough for them to sell it to you for the discounted price.

NBA and NHL scanned $89 and $79 respectively in-store. I told them that it was cheaper on the website, they checked, looked confused for a minute, but then ended selling them to me for $29 ea.

    • I bought it for 29 and the games section staff confirmed as well.

    • Unfortunate for you.

I went in today and all the NHLs and NBAs (2015) were marked $29 for PS4 and XB1.

It scanned and went through fine. Note that all the systems are linked and the price for the SKU is set at support office level and not locally. So if they scanned the game it will come up as $29.

  • Anyone know how long this sale is going to last? Particularly for NHL

    • Probably permanent pricing, NFS has been around that price for a while and no mention of a sale on their webpage

  • +1

NFS Rivals sucks. The formula is "play it safe" or you lose all progress. And it's also bullshit. Seriously bad game. Can expand more if people are interested.

    • Please do. I haven't read up on this one.

  • Purchased both NFS and NHL for PS4. ING Ratings of 7.9 (NFS) and 8.0 (NHL) hopefully indicates two OK games.

  • NFS Rivals and BF4 are already available on XBone via EA Access for those interested in sampling them for $6/mo or renting for $40/year. I went that route because I don't think either will hold my interest long-term.

  • Well the Adelaide store had NBA Live 14 for $29, nothing else was at that price. Guess that saves me $58.

    • just picked up NHL15 on ps4 for $29 at rundlemall store

  • NFS and Titanfall are preowned?

  • +1

So just received my copy of NBA LIVE 2014………….
