Pre-Paid Plan for a Very Low Volume User (Hardly Any Text & No Internet!) ?

My wife is a very occasional user of her mobile phone and rarely uses SMS or internet.

What is the most value for money pre-paid SIM card that you would recommend for people who need to use the mobile phone quite rarely?

Monthly plans would be a waste too, I think!

Thanks in advance for your help and advice.

Check out 'Vodaphone 365'. Credit lasts a year before it expires.

    • And you get 150 minutes of vodafone to vodafone for the $30 prepaid

My dad who also happens to be a very occasional user of his phone is currently on the Aldi Mobile pay as you go plan ($15 and 365 day expiry).
He was previously on the Vodafone plan (365 day one) but Aldi seemed like a better deal with cheaper calling and sms rates.

Aldi has 365 day expiry too. Starts from $15.

  • I have my home SMS alerting system connected to Kiss Mobile on their PAYG http://www.kissmobile.com.au/sim-only-plans-keep-it-simple

  • Check out TPG website. Very reasonable rates.

    • TPG's $1 PAYG plan has been discontinued since April 2013. All their other plans aren't suitable for low usage users.
