In America tons of places that will give you a discount if you trade in your old jeans, is there anything like that here in Australia?

That's interesting. What do they do with them? like.. what's the value of old jeans (to them), and are there certain standards/rules that old jeans have to adhere to in order to be accepted for the discount?
I'm noob so this may be a stupid question lol :P
Do they recycle cotton? Or… cut it up and turn old jeans into short shorts and make money out of that?

Or do they simply want you to hand in your old jeans so they know you'll stop wearing them, in order to kinda 'force' you to wear your new jeans bought from them… ie. the discount pays for itself as you'll be a walking advertisement for their brand?

My guess is they give it a good wash, maybe redo the color if necessary, and voila, new line of ripped jeans and distressed jeans
I think its mainly just to get you to shop at their store and switch from competitors to them.
The local car yard gives you $2000 for trading in anything.
