One the best records of all time.

    • +2

2 of the best songs ever written are on it
      -Bullet In The Head
      -Know Your Enemy

      • +2

Agree, but Wake Up is a cracker too.

I've just had this album playing in the car - very loud. One of the best albums I bought in the 90s.

Not just a fantastic album, but well produced and mixed too.

      • +2

Got to agree, one of my favourites for listening to music the way it should be produced

  • And "killing in the name” song is free

    • +1

Yeah I love this album.. one of my top 5.
But if I ever hear that song again it will be too soon.

  • +3

tempted to neg this with the reason "too cheap"

    • +6

It's payback time for huge rip-off CDs were during my teenage years.
Each one cost about 5 hours pay.

(I believe this was some goverment/apra/music industry mandated cartel-ish rort.. ?)

(I believe this was some goverment/apra/music industry mandated cartel-ish rort.. ?)

Yep, and still happening with blu-rays, books, etc…

  • I think one of the last times I was excited from music was hearing that RATM got back together…

  • +1

Saw these guys opening for Chilli Peppers BSSM tour 1992 in Europe, was awesome.

  • It's a great album no doubt but I paid $20-$30 for it in the 90's so I'm not paying another $3.99 for it now.
Pretty sure I ripped it to my iTunes on my PC too.

      Cool story, bro.

  • Is there any way to get this in lossless, or for that matter, does Play Store do lossless? I'm more than happy to spend money on good music but not for a 120mb album.

    • Pretty sure it's 320kbps MP3.

No human has successfully been able to tell the difference between 320k mp3 and lossless on any equipment.

    • +2

It's a different deal. This being the Album of the Week is cheaper at $3.99 than the same album or any of the other were in that $4.99 deal (It'll show as $3.99 following your link now due to that particular album being the deal of the week, everything else is priced as they were).

      • OK. I stand erected corrected.

I wonder how much that guy was paid to be set on fire.

  • +4

Man, really?? Even if you meant it as a joke, that's in bad taste..

That's the album cover. The band is highly political, it's not a joke.

      • +3

Sorry, I was replying to the comment above mine about how much he was paid to set himself on fire, not on the thumbnail that the the OP used in his post, sorry for any confusion. I must have posted a new comment rather than replying to the comment that I wanted to. I've had a couple of copies of this album so I'm up on why the picture was used and it's significance. This is still in my top 3 albums of all time :)

        • Ah, I see - all good.

Yes, one of the best albums of the 90s although as time goes by I have found myself liking Evil Empire and Battle of Los Angeles more and more. All three are amazing!

  • I love it, but as the album is in the Google Play library anyway, I don't see the point.

  • +2

F you I won't do what you tell me.

Some of those that post bargains
Are the same that just broden

      • +1

those who buy can justify, 20 more eneloops, these ones are white

  • +1

Bought it only a couple of weeks ago for $4.99! >:(

Now I know how Zack de la Rocha feels all the time…

  • in the words of Ben Folds:
    "Y'all don't know what it's like
being male, middle classed and white!"
