  • Seems fairly under powered for a $900 laptop

    Macbook has always been overpriced.

Macbook Air 12 is on the way. Better to hold for a while.

  • Doesn't mention anything about the warranty. Based on the UK plug charger, it is questionable if the warranty works here.

It's gray import from Hongkong, but I think Apple has the global warranty?

      • They do on computers, not on phones, as far as I am aware.

    • I believe it is an AU power adapter which is really cheap by the way

  • Fairly expensive given these have been $500-$750 on sale previously. Wouldn't buy one for over that price now that the Retina model is around the corner…

    • yep, the 13" was the same price as this last time

  • 10% off sales + gst refund will match this price
    But not bad for import

  • I was thinking that it will be a great deal with GST refund
I am not sure if you can claim GST refund from this seller.
    Custom might rejects your claim.

Pretty good option for a BYOD device for high school students.

    Battery will last all day.

    Would concerned on warranty

ps Make sure students get their free Microsoft & Adobe software

Not sure if this does 5GHz networking, which is required for NSW BYOD. Anyone know more?

  • Hmmm this or the 10% off jb hifi deal this weekend + 50% off upto $150 accessories?

  • Its probably better(peace of mind) to get apple store to price match the jb hifi 10% discount. You pay $100 more but get 14 day return option and local stock with Oz power adapter.

  • I know it's only 11", but the screen resolution of 1366x768 is pretty low. For this kind of money, 1600x900 would be good.
