This may have posted in previous years but a timely reminder for those of us in NSW setting up kids going back to school.

You need your @education.nsw.gov.au email address but its fairly straight forward.

1 license for each registered emaii.

Includes Office 2013 for Windows, Office 2011 for Mac, Windows 8.1 or 7, Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design for Mac or Windows and more. Some restrictions apply eg only Office for Mac or Windows not both

People in other states may want to include their options below

From the website

All NSW Department of Education and Communities School students are eligible to download and licence Adobe and Microsoft software from this website.

This software is only available to download onto personally owned devices.

Students will need to use their @education.nsw.gov.au student email address to register on their first visit. To register, click on the “Sign In” link at the top of the page and then click on the REGISTER button. A verification email will be sent to your DEC email address. To complete the registration please select the link provided in the email.

Note: Individual students are eligible for one download per application only.

    I have asked my 7yo son's teacher how to get his education.nsw.gov.au email address and they have no idea what I'm talking about :-/

      Every NSW DEC public school student needs a log on to access the Internet, usually First.Surname7.
      The email is then [email protected]
      If you son accesses the Internet at school he should have a log on.

        Pretty sure it's not usually a seven after your first and last name… That's just strange and I know my cousins have no numbers behind their name and others in their grade with the same name have different numbers after their names to distinguish between their email accounts .. Also depending on whether you have other names, like a middle name or Chinese name, your email account could be named based on that rather than your preferred name

          It was an example. We have names like john.h.smith26 and uncommon names with no numbers. DEC doesn't reuse addresses so if any student at a DEC school, or TAFE or a staff member in DEC (had in the past)/(has now) the same name you get either an initial or a number or both.

          I was trying to show how a students username they should know to access Internet becomes their DEC student email.

    Might not have Adobe….but there is also https://www.dreamspark.com/Student/Software-Catalog.aspx and its open to all edu accounts.
