  • Thanks EC. Bit far for me, but great deal.

  • perfect for strawberry jam production

  • +1

No one does a price-match with Strawberries :(

  • Same at harbour town fruit market yesterday… Surprisingly good quality ones… The $10 mango trays were very good too, not end of life at.

    • they had mango trays for $10 ~ 16 Mangoes per tray but they are very soft

      • If i had known i would of purchased as well :(

  • Thanks for posting

  • Far out, last time i bought 15 for $15 and i thought it was cheap.

  • purchased 2 and there were 3 left

  • How can they sell it so cheap… who's losing out here.

  • Great deal

  • both worked for me, thanks op.

  • Just went and got some of these fantastic deal

  • Just bought a box, still had 5 left.

Shop keepers say it's because some are bruised, but they look fine!

    • +2

around 1 or 2 per punnet are bruised , but who cares because the rest are delicious.

      Already ate 4 punnets

      • I don't eat strawberries, but my family love them. Won't stop me grabbing a bargain!

      • nice

      • ok

  • Do they replenish stock?

    • +1

Rakddon said they had 3 left, yet when I went they have 5 left. Sale has been ongoing for 3 days, not sure the "true" stock left

  • Amazing price on the strawberries

  • Here I am stupid buying a punnet for $3.50 form Coles…….

Mine at home aren't producing this much at the moment.

  • Flemington markets on Saturday is the place to go for fruits and veggies. Last week I got around 20 punnets strawberry in a tray for $2.
Right next to him I also managed to get 42 mango's in a tray for $5. Not huge ones but average sized mangoes of good quality. Absolutely cannot justify buying fruits and veggies from the supermarket.

    • Im happy to pay $5 for 15 punnets and not have to deal with parking, traffic, travelling, trying to walk between crowds etc

You would have to consider travel time, petrol money which would add to the cost per punnet

      • Agree with you. I live less thank 5kms away from it so not an issue for me. I only go there once every 3 weeks and fill up the fridge/freezer. Having said that, I also wouldn't mind driving longer distance if I had a bigger family, thats because the price difference is huge.

        • Could you explain how you get such prices? Seems like internal trading wholesale prices.. Is there a specific time that the sale goes on? Is it a hit and miss kind of thing? Do you have to punch and pull people?

Last time I was there the prices were pretty close to what i can get at Aldi.. Cheaper, but not really worth travelling, fuel and time

NSFW: i heard from this girl who used to date rich old guys, her tip to keep them interested is to eat a lot of strawberries hours before they [you know] so when the guy go australia on her [you know] taste like strawberries.. Similar to the myth that says when guy eats lots of pineapples their [you know] becomes sweeter.

  • Mangoes, not mango's. The mango doesn't own anything.

    • except it's title of delicious!

  • Not sure what I would do with a trays worth, took me a week to eat 2 large punnets. Might have to make milk shakes out of them
