    Best. Game. Ever.

    • … For the first playthrough…

True, being linear story driven it's best first time - although I have started playing through again.

Tomb Raider was also surprisingly good - although faster to complete than TLOU

Very surprised to see the actress that plays Lara Croft - she is a main character on Greys Anatomy although never picked up on a British accent until hearing her in TR.

      • Yes but only really great when played on survivor or grounded difficulty the first time.
I cannot recommend this highly enough.
It adds to the horror of the game and tension,

        • +1

You mean The Last of Us? Is there any difference in the story or cutscenes, or is it just more difficult for enemies being harder to kill and killing you easier?

        • +1

          @systmworks:
You lose the magical ability to see through walls
Also you cop 200% damage on survivor and 300% on grounded
Your hud is removed and supplies are very scarce
It gives the game a much more authentic horror feel rather than run and gun
People struggle for a while but all my friends who have tried this and persisted have become much much better at sneaking and warfare in the game

You can always reduce the difficulty and if stuck check YouTube for help

And btw the U.S. version is uncut in multiplayer unlike the au version which has heaps of gore removed

  • Is the PS4 region locked?

    • +1

All you need is a US PSN Account, as per details above. Download and you can then play with your Aus account.

      • +1

For the uninitiated, how do you transfer the game from a US account to an AUS one?

        • +3

You do not transfer it. All accounts on a console can play all downloaded games on the same console, even if they were not the account to purchase it or even in the same region.

Buy and download games for cheaper with a US account, and then you can log into an Australian account and play them still. However, it can be easier to just take out the middleman and just use a US account full-time.

        • @AXiS:
Huh, that I didn't know. Thanks for the heads up!

        • @AXiS:
I am not sure if this works.
I downloaded Far cry 4 under a US psn account and now when i connect, I have to login in the US account to play it. Aus account cant access it.
This wasn't the case with PS3.

        • +1

@addepp: I can shed some light to this. I was using my JP account to play Resogun.

I later purchased it for my AUS account.

I could play both on any account, but it created different save files. So make sure you stick to a region for a game, otherwise, different save files.

You might need to make the account primary to play the game for different user accounts. So if you purchased Far Cry 4 under the US PSN, make that account primary so the AUS account can play.

Heck, make all accounts primary to share games.

        • +1

@addepp: you just need to tell your USA account that your ps4 is the primary one for that account and it'll work no problem on your AU account. Google it :)

        • @Agret: thanks @ Agret and @justmike will try it today.

  • Wonder if you can use the installed data from the AU version to play this? I sold mine already.

    • +1

Very unlikely unfortunately. It would have a different ID and need to download the whole thing again. Saves may not even be compatible.

      • +1

        Yep, different regions, different saves.

  • Grrr…. just set up a new "user" on the PS4, set up a new US PSN account, now out of stock ;-( I hate being old and slow

  • out of stock

  • Sold out =(

  • All these deals on PS4 version. What about PS3 version? Nothing since PlayAsia cheated on us.

    • it's pretty much always worth paying the extra to enjoy it on ps4 than ps3…

  • Wow one third the 50 i paid when it came out a few months ago. Didnt get around to playing past 15 mins as I've been busy. Prob worth me waiting than trying to accumulate games on sale in aus at release.

  • I am relatively new to the PS4. Can someone explain how sharing games works for PS4.
My brother and I both have a console in each of our rooms. Would I be able to access his digital games and PSN+ subscription from my console?
If we are already using our AU PSN accounts, would the equation get complicated or will the system allow sharing to work if we have another US PSN account that is required to buy games from the US and still use our AU accounts?

    Thanks

  • This is back in stock now…available for US$15.99 a saving of whopping $1USD when compared with the previous deal

  • Should remove the "out of stock" banner, its just recently been restocked (I just bought a copy).
