how much does a wallet normally cost? $2 off doesnt seem like much of a bargain unless we know the cost of a wallet

  • Maybe you should add your website?

  • I have one of these and I love it. But what is the website? When I click "Go to Deal" it just takes me to the picture.

    • hmmm, I did put down my website on the submit form… just added on description.

Glad to know you liked it :D

      • If you really wanted to get your product out there, you should do a better deal then $2 off. I'm interested in a new wallet but it looks like flat leather stitched and bound. $10 and I might take the risk but I dont see the appeal at $23.

  • Is there a video or something, I get an idea but would prefer to see how it works

    • it is on the website www.madeon3rd.com

      • Cheers, upload to Youtube as well I suggest. Is there any protection around the ring cutout for the pouches?> Also if I were to ask you to get me a coin pouch made for UK coins ie pennies etc would that be possible?

Thanks, fyi I do have a youtube version. I just liked vimeo's interface, inline with the website style.
I can custom make insert for you, that will be an extra cost. Also I need an rough idea of how big they are :)

        • "Is there any protection around the ring cutout for the pouches?"
Good point, I was looking at that at some stage, but it just add more thickness to the wallet….never had any problem with the hole cut out. I have been using it for about a year now.

Would like the 10, 20, 50p and the 1pound and 2 pound. Can you adjust them in 2 pouches?
Also in the configuration you are selling , how many pouches do we get?

          PS shipping is free right?

Materials looks like paper, what is it made out of? $2 off isn't much sadly

There are no leather or bonding involved producing these wallets. I have chosen an environmentally friendly polymer material for its lightness and thinness quality. I have hand crafted around 30 prototypes to arrive at this design. A good design need its price to be appreciated, if I go for a $10 off, not only I am not making anything out of it, also I am diminishing my design value. In the past I have done a 30% off for Christmas which was a great campaign, good sale, if I do anything more than that will be unfair to those who bought it at that time.

cheers for the detail, was wondering what it was made of. good to hear it's not leather.

      • The name of the paper is very technical, it is a polymer of wood-fiber and polypropylene.

      • what's wrong with leather?

        • +2

          Animals have to die?

        • personal preference.
my "good to hear…" statement was not really relevant to the product or the post except to say that I was pleased the wallet was not made of leather because if it was I would not consider it for purchase.

@elkherd: As a vegan, I also would not consider a product made from animal leather.

+1 from me … looks like an interesting design and I just like it when people create something … $22.99 is not too much when you compare it to other wallets. I am using a standard wallet at the moment and have far too many cards in there … but for someone who likes it basic it is an interesting option.

  • The coin slot doesn't look very secure and pretty small so i guess it doesn't work with silvers?

Also, are you able to tell me what is the maximum number of cards it can hold?

    • It holds maximum of 8 cards, gold coins only. The slots are force fit at this point, the outer shell wraps everything inside.

  • I have one…and I put it in the wash….it survived. slightly warped. very slightly. still perfectly usable.
I also like how it holds the myki in one slot and I just need to swing out that tab to use myki.

HOWEVER….BIG HOWEVER…the whole package, with a few notes, 2 card, 1 myki isnt as slim as the wallet I want to replace it with. I still do recommend it as a nice simple wallet.

    • Hi! I remember you. Thanks for the recommendation and sorry to hear it wasn't as slim as you expected. However, I do, sometimes offer custom make service, let me know if you like me to custom make one slimmer for you. Just email me [email protected]

      • thank you for your offer. I do like the product. It is quite slim but not as slim as what I am using.
I use a flip wallet where the card goes on the outside. this make it less square and hence it feels slimmer when it does into the back pocket.

I switch between both wallets. I still enjoy using both

        • I actually created the wallet with the feature to use the inserts on their own, then you can clip it back to the main wallet if you want more room.
A lot of the features I designed hasn't been able to resolve yet. Can't really create a perfect product that pleases everyone :) but I am working towards that.
Thank you for the support, keep an eye on our website. I will be introducing more product.

  • Any big LITTLE wallets?

    • That will be great for a travel wallet :)

  • Looks like George Costanza's wallet.. not much of a deal imo
