  • does it come with ink? cheaper to buy new printer than a new cartridge eh

  • In the past I know hp put a starter cartridge in their printers. Once you had installed a starter cart you could not put another starter in. You had to put the normal replacement in.

    laser is the way

    • Agreed. Even the colour laser printers are cheap now, and way less hassle than ink.

The only thing inkjets are better at is printing photos, and that's easier and cheaper to get done through retailers nowadays.

      • How much does a low-end laser colour printer cost these days?

        • +1

          There's a couple of options under $100.

search staticice.com.au for "colour laser printer"

eh, if you're rarely printing and just need something to scan and print occasionally the cheap inkjets are a better option for a lot of people.
Multi-function colour lasers are expensive and bulky in comparison

i saw a stack of all-in-one inkjets canon mg2965s at my local woolies yesterday for $25 print/scan/copy + wireless. http://www2.woolworthsonline.com.au/Shop/ProductDetails?Stoc…

i think they are the same as mg2960s

  • can these use refills or generic cartridges?

this one time I stayed up around midnight and purchased a Dell inkjet printer for $9 delivered!

    cool story or what bros?

  • dang that's cheap, anyone know the answer to whether it comes with a cartridge ?

    • +1

I think most of the printers do. Normally cartridges are 1/2 or 3/4 full. Don't know about this one though.

  • +1

It comes with a set of cartridges (black and colour). I bought 1 of these a while ago. Good buy for the price.

  • Any hints on finding a cheap printer that has wifi?

  • Note that these cheap printers are often false economy. Shell out the extra bucks today and get something decent rather than skimping out on the printer and spending $$$ on ink.

Laser is the way to go imo.
