service may be discontinued eithertemporarily or permanently without notice

Panasonic are notorious for this. Every firmware update you'll be missing yet another service or two, until all you have left is Youtube and not much else. Has happened to us on 3 different Panasonic Bluray models over the years, suffice to say, there won't be a 4th.

    • For people like me who only use Youtube with the internet functionality, it's not an issue. I've had an older Panasonic BR for a few years now and I couldn't possibly fault it.

Good price. Ring Panasonic and they'll tell you where to take it to get it multiregioned free of charge.

    • Multiregion (DVD), but not multizone (Blu-ray).

Most Bluray discs these days are region free anyway

      • Can't confirm either way atm because I have no region A or C blurays.

  • Can these Smart Bluray players playback MKV files from usb hard drives?

    • From the description I posted here doesn't seem it can play MKV but it does support MP4.

  • Specs of the Asus memopad appear similar to the Acer Iconia from Harvey's for $88. Can anyone vouch for the screen brightness of either, or which is the better buy?
