Awesome deal! After years and years of looking at TV prices and deals I finally feel like they are getting considerably cheaper.

  • I bought Panasonic TH-P42S10A for $1441.00 plus bonus Wii at Sydney CBD Myer at Aug.

$1100 home theatre better than a wii

    • can be had for 1380 at harvey norman chack whirlpool and you get an 1100 hometheatre rather than a 350 wii

Was all set on getting a Sony 46" Z series for around $2500 but now
Panasonic have come back with better TV's at cheaper prices with a better bonus.
Gotta love the competition of trying to get my $$$ :)

  • I'm definitely interested…. but I'm still worried, since it's a Plasma, and I want it connected to a HTPC! (Vista MCE….)… or do Plasma's not suffer burn in as much these days?

    • The burn in issues seem to have magically gone from plasmas :)
I have an old (almost 5 y.o.) 42" DEC plasma and it has no burn in issues.

My personal gripe is that there are so many 1920 X 1080 TV sets out there that still cannot display PC signals higher than 1,280×1,024 @60 Hz- including the Panasonics.

      • just remember they are tvs not monitors

      • I'm fairly sure I've connected a PC over HDMI and used it at 1920x1080 @ 60Hz. I believe it was the TH50PZ800A.

I'm contemplating the 46" so will check next time I'm at work :)

      • You are 100% wrong buddy!

Even my old 42 full hd bruanh which states 1280x1024@60hz via vga can do 1920x1080. I don't know why all say that but they can do 1920x1080 via vga if you play around with the video card drivers and settings on your pc.

        • Try doing it with HDMI! I returned it to Aldi because of that problem. To get it to work @ 1080p you had to use a VGA cable, over HDMI it wouldn't play well with a laptop HDMI connector. Bought the Samsung LCD, worked out of the box at 1080p. Note this as the 32in 1080p from Aldi pretty sure it was Bauhn branded. Pretty the issue wasn't the hardware, rather the software on the TV.

  • nice, my mate bought the 50inch G series for around 2600$ 1-2 months ago.

    good price.

  • Prices not correct as of today - possibly incorrect over the weekend..

    TH-P50G10A - $2799
    TH-P50S10A - $1999
    TH-P46S10A - $1836

These deals where schedule to end overnight last night. However, due to your feedback we are in the process of extending the promotion until Sunday 1/11/2009. System updates will take a few hours and I will post an update when that has happened.

    • These prices are now updated on the website. Enjoy.

Bing Lee have the TH-P50S10A for $1880.

    • I bought a 50s10a for $1830 + 42s10a for $1390 both at myer on Saturday :P
They had 15% off all tvs but i think the deal is over now…

      • Very good price… any chance other shop will still do a price match?
Can you post your copy of receipt so that I could give it a try :))

wow, that's got to be the best plasma deal i have ever heard of, with the bonus anyway! i bought my panny 50" a few months ago at much higher price without any bonus :(, should have waited till now……just the way things are i guess.

  • Just ordered a G10 for pick up awesome. popped in to my local clive peeters and waited for 20 minutes to be totally ignored for a couple who just walked in, if it wasn't for the web deals i probably would never go in a clive peeters again.
Anyways just thought i'd post the bonuses its also on another post http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/17818
they are a camera, bluray ht set or a pvr.. both the bluray player and pvr retail for 1k each so this is an awesome bargain.
