    evidence please…
I have done a meta-analysis on CoQ10, there none has strong evidence that it definitely work
but then again, it could be like glucosamine, works for some people and useless for others (have to try it to find out)
Price is good, but claims are not…

Evidence? I don't make it or sell it, just shared it.
I use it myself and wouldn't be without it. Do your own research and make a decision for yourself. You say price is good - What evidence do you base that on? If the claims are not good, then how do you guage the price is good on that summary?

My apologies to my tone of the comment.

I now realised you didnt write those claims either. My apologies again. One of my pet hate is seeing people (usually advertisments / special interest groups) drumming up effects of supplements as if they should be taken by everyone regardless of conditions etc. So bit of brain-fade for me.

Just to make things clear, I did do my research or peer-reviewed medical journals, on Medline and Cochran database. The only real thing that CoQ10 supplement has statistically significant evidence that it works is in congenital CoQ10 deficiency. For the rest the claim for better BP, better sperm motility (yes there is a study on that) etc the results are either no significant / inconclusive or sample size too small.

But then again I stated in my comment that it could behave like glucosamine, where it can work wonderfully for some but not for others for identical conditions.

I also know that the heart failure / transplant units use them as it is very safe and may have some beneficial effects on heart contractility. They also seems to work for some people who has muscle / joint aches after taking cholesterol lowering meds.

And I said good price because normally I see it around $30 for a month supply. (of course not considering the effect because it is individualised).

  • That is fine. Just to clarify that which was written about the supplement in my post, is a duplicate of what the Amcal site supplied and is written as the product information on their site without alteration or any claims of my own.

  • No doubt this is a racemic mixture and 50% of the product is in an unnatural and unusable form, possibly interfering with normal healthy metabolism.

Apparently all research done on CoQ10 has used purified bio identical CoQ10 which is rare and expensive too.

    • You should contact the manufacturer of the supplement about the mixtures and composition of their products. Words such as no doubt and apparently regarding their products are purely just speculation and should be clarified before posting.

This is prescribed by a professor at the Alfred for my mitochondrial condition so I suspect it does something! Thanks to the op for this - it is a huge saving and much appreciated by this humble pensioner! Also, they have a special with free postage on ALL orders until JAN 30 but they did charge me for postage on my order. I have emailed them about it.

    • Did you enter the free postage code OZDELIVERY?

  • This is the product information page from the manufacturer:
    http://www.omegalife.com.au/content/omegalife%C2%AE-coq10-15…
It may be of use to some.

  • Was about to get it and it's out of stock!

    • Is showing in stock on the website? Where does it say out of stock? As at 11.58pm AEDST it is showing in stock and allowing me to add to my cart…..
