Accu Chek Blood Sugar Meter - up to $60 Cashback

42

Not diabetic but just wanted to understand the effects of my lifestyle on my body better. This cash back offer has been around a while. Not sure when it'll expire.

  1. Go to https://www.accu-chekvoucher.com.au/ and fill in the form. Your answers will determine which voucher you get. To ensure you get a voucher, for the question on which meter you currently use choose "Other". To get a voucher for Performa I selected Type 2 Diabetes, 4 times a day and no insulin.
  2. The voucher is sent to your email once you complete the 2nd page. If you don't get the voucher you want you can go back and try again with different answers.
  3. Go buy your meter. Keep receipt.
  4. Scan receipt and upload as per instructions in your voucher email.
  5. Full T&C https://www.accu-chekvoucher.com.au/Roche/terms-and-conditio… (basically voucher is valid for 30 days)
  6. You'll need some test strips but they are a rip off at the shops, get from ebay for about $30 for 100 - (http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601…) - but beware of the EXPIRY DATE so check the listing description.

Aren't these offers always available ?

    • Yep.

      • Probably belongs in the forums then, not a bargain…

        • -1

I have seen this offer a lot in the past but not sure if it's always available. In the shops they have an expiry on the discounted price, don't know if it'll go back up after then or if it keeps getting extended?

        • @moogle:

The companies will always honour the vouchers, even if they have expired.

  • just like printers and printer ink… i reckon accu-chek make their money from the blood glucose strips and not from selling these meters. i remember asking for a box of 100 strips and they go for $50 a box! so i reckon this 'free' offer will remain probably indefinitely.

  • I work in pharmacy and these deals are always on. Both Roche (who make Accu-Check) and Abbott (who make Freestyle) always have cash back. You can get them from any pharmacy for "free" not just Chemist Warehouse and Mychemist (which is owned by the same people who own Chemist Warehouse).

Have a look here if you don't want to go into a pharmacy -

And yes, just like printers, the companies make their money out of the test strips.

  • Always free, no deal.

  • Becareful buying too many test trip for this. The test strip has expiry date. If you don't use it before the expiry date. The Accu check won't let u use it.

  • Merged from Accu-Chek Performa or Accu-Chek Mobile Blood Glucose Meter $0 after $60 Cash Back at Chemist Warehouse

.. This has been happening for years.. strips aren't cheap and you're only eligible for subsidised Mobile strips if you're an insulin user.

      • Thought it was only free for Type1 diabetics.

    • Anyone know which meter has the cheapest testing costs?

      • If you are a diabetic the Abbot strips are the cheapest, but not by much. The full retail price is ridiculously high.

    • We find this meter to be quite inaccurate when compared to other meters and our CGM, it often measure higher. It also takes longer to load up compared to others.
