Wow… and here I was thinking my $100-$150 bottle of whiskey was 'premium' :P

Good deal considering the cheapest I found the Dalmore for is $230.
With the blue label being $150 (cheapest I can remember), you're getting a good deal. That is, of course, if you like both these scotches.

  • Thanks. Good deal for certain items

Next time I'm with a mate, and he offers me his super premium Johnny Walker Blue, I'll be like "Pfft! They give that stuff away free these days!"

  • +18

Dont suppose you could throw one of these blue babies in when I purchase a goon bag?

    • Only if you're buying a premium goon bag like fruity lexia

      • +2

        that.is.hilarious.

‘best served neat, on the rocks or from a bag hanging from a clothes line.’

  • What volume is the bottle of johnny blue. Looks small in the picture

    • +1

If you click into the first deal, and enlarge the picture, you can just see it's 750ml.
But that's just the picture, I can't see anywhere for the fine print….

      • +1

        It's 750ml

      • Your eyesight is way better than mine!

    Do they sell goon?

  • I find it remarkable that blue label is now a give away item. I seem to recall it used it cost around $250 mark 20 years ago. So given inflation and taxes, it really has come down massively in price. Next it will come in a goon bag.

It makes me quiver seeing people diluting expensive drops with coke! Party I went to last year had 4 bottles of Ballantine 30YO and I couldn't believe my eyes seeing most people having it Coke+scotch+ice+scull!

Does anybody know of a good single malt on special? And I do not mean $300-400 stuff…more like $30-40.
Ok I could go to $50 but it would cause pain.

Why cut yourself off at $50 when Laphroaig 10 is $70?

Granted, not as good as when Lagavulin 16 drops to that price, but still damn nice

      • +1

Only if you like that burning taste of Islay scotch…

Would be better to start with milder drops like Glenmorangie Original and Macallan 12YO

        • +1

+1 for Macallan. Islay scotch is definitely an acquired taste!

This is in your budget; https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_796747/lark-single-…

      you didn't state quantity!

      • Need to buy 7 of those to make a bottle = $280 :-(( !!!

  • ^aberlour 10 year is my choice in that price. 45ish on special

  • Aberlour 10yo is $55 in DM
    Glenlivet 12yo $55 in 1st choice
    Not really specials
1st choice has JW black label 12yo on special at $42
Not single malt but not bad at that price
Anybody knows of any better deal?

    • Glenfiddich 12YO $54.95 + delivery at Dan Murphy's

Single malt whisky, still better than any cheap blended like JW / Chivas

  • Any way to buy small bottles (even hotel size) of these at cheaper price? Wouldn't want to buy these without tasting first.
