Q Acoustics 7000i 5.1 Speakers $949@ Rio Sound & Vision. FREE shipping RRP $1999

290

2 Days only! 50% off!! BLACK and WHITE now available!

Don't be misled by beauty.

The new 7000i series speakers may look simply like very elegant and slender 'satellite' speakers. But in reality they are full range, true hi-fi speakers which deliver a wonderful, musical soundstage even without a subwoofer. This makes them an ideal choice when there is a requirement for a small discreet speaker and where a subwoofer cannot be accommodated. However, combine them with the matching 7070Si subwoofer and they will astonish you. Configured as a 2.1 stereo speaker system, their smooth, open, dynamic, ultra-low distortion sound quality comfortably outperforms many large (and far more expensive) floorstanding loudspeakers.

Q Acoustics demanded unrivalled sonic performance and breathtaking value for money in a 5.1 speaker system. In the award winning 7000i Cinema Pack, their designers have surpassed themselves. As a full 5.1 Home Cinema speaker package the new 7000i is simply unrivalled. Its precision soundstage, powerful dynamics and rich deep bass make it the natural choice for both home cinema enthusiasts and discerning music lovers.

It's no wonder the new 7000i has won a coveted 2013 'What Hi-Fi' award.

I understand these are about superior sound quality and all that jazz, but do they have to look like a $60 set of Logitechs?

    • I was pretty much going to make the same comment, damn they uuuuugly. http://www.publicsurplus.com/sms/docviewer/aucdoc/4000%20(273).jpg?auc=278031&docid=1177005

In the flesh they look great! NOTHING like logitech speakers. Amazing finish, metal construction.

I own the white version of these (well 3.1 anyway, my rears are in-ceiling) and am very happy with the sound quality. You can also wall mount them as the bases rotate and have mount points.

Good deal on black. If you want white I noticed you can pick them up here for $989, with free delivery or pickup (sydney) http://www.digitalcinema.com.au/q-acoustics-7000i-5-1-cinema…

Thanks for the heads up! Down to $949. We will NOT be beaten on price!
Everything we have online is usually in stock. We have your gear now. Why wait?

      • +4

hahahaha I super love the rivalry.. both rivals are @949.. are you up for the further cut since stating "we will NOT be beaten…"?

        • Well I guess tied isn't beaten :P

  • i am trying my best to resist this deal!!!

  • How are these going to compare to a mid-fi full size setup? I've got an Athena 5.1 system (full-size floorstanders, bookshelves) that was very highly rated back in the day (for it's price) but these little guys would be much more living room friendly. Is physics against me or can newer tech make up for size limitations?

    • I have heard Athena speaker quite a few years ago and i think the 7000i pack would be up to the take. If you check out some of the reviews they come VERY highly rated. If possible come in for a listen.

  • Hi Jason. Have you got these at the Hampton store where I can call in tomorrow to have a look at them?

    • Sorry to say but we only have them on display at out Preston store.

  • WHITE now Available !!!

    • How to select white when ordering?

  • $900 and you have me sold.

  • Seems like the going rate. Digital cinema have both colours at the same price

    • Not the going rate. Just some retail rivalry :-)

They were $1349 until Rio put them on sale. So +1 for rio!

  • +1 for Q Acoustics, I bought a different model based on good reviews, and it didn't disappoint. Easily my best hi fi purchase.

  • So tempted but I've learned over the years not to buy speakers unless I've given them a listen to. :)

  • How would these compare to a set of B&W M1's and are they in the same ballpark in terms of overall quality?

    • They compare very well. We sold the B&W M1 for a few years. The build quality of the Q Acoustics is better for sure. The sound they produce is also alot warmer than the B&W speakers.

  • Thanks for the great response guys!!! Only a few packs left now. Don't miss out!

Just wanted to say that although the company I work for can actually buy these cheaper wholesale, the RETAIL price on these is a LOT better than we would normally sell them for - so this is, indeed a bargain. You'd have to be a pretty special customer ever for us to sell them to you at that price.

Can also vouch for the quality of these units.

Yes, I'm endorsing the competition here. Credit where it's due - grab them while you can.

Are these any good for stereo music? Most satellites are very average when they are in 2.0/2.1 mode.

  • Can I claim GST at the airport?

    • Yes of course you can, as long as you take the speakers with you on your carry-on luggage.

    • +1

You can claim GST on checked in luggage as well

      • I didn't know that, I just checked the website and you're right.

I don't understand how it works though, as when you check-in your bags for an international flight, it's done at the check-in desk, but in order to get a TRS refund, you need to physically present the goods for insepction at the TRS desk which is located in an area once you have passed passport control.

Couldn't anyone just present a random tax invoice and say it's in checked luggage?

        • +1

There is a counter outside. You can show your checked in luggage there and get a receipt from them. And you can use that as the proof when claiming the GST.

        • @NalB: Sweet, thanks a lot for that, had no idea.

  • Jason, are you still selling the Wharfedale Dx1 pack? A bit less than these, but it meets my needs for a bedroom setup.

  • Do you stock the 5.0?? If so can we see a better price?

  • Recently bought a 2.1 speaker pack off these guys, service was good, price was great.

  • Just found this,

Expired, but got the same deal delivered for free from Digital Cinema link mentioned above.

Now all I need is a 7.2 amp… that does 2-3 rooms…. and some in-ceiling speakers on sale for the other rooms.

I would say just buy a bose mini, nice and clean.

    • Yuck.
