Good Micro-USB Plugs: Where to Get Them?

I have a small mountain of cables that I've accumulated (including a bunch of Tikbro ones which I foolishly ordered in one big lot), but unfortunately a lot of them have really poor micro usb type b plugs: the kind that flops around, makes poor connections, and falls out at the drop of a hat.

Does anyone know where to source good quality micro usb type b plugs? Ones that latch firmly into place and actually hold there? I want to cut the plugs off all these crappy cables and replace them with good ones.
I'd simply buy better cables, except it can be really hard to find good ones (especially shopping online; never know what you're going to get until it arrives) and some cables are particularly difficult to find (e.g. USB-OTG Y cable to supply external power).

(If it wasn't so damn expensive to get Monoprice cables shipped, I'd consider just replacing most of my cables with those. Apparently they have really good micro-usb type b plugs).

  • RS online (Radio Spares) maybe.

  • oh man, i know the feeling. currently in between stores. I only buy ebay/chinese store ones now, as the "store bought" ones don't last any longer to justify the price.

  • Wow really?
I've never bought a separate micro-USB cable, yet manage to have them scattered across the house, in cars and at other people's houses. And if anything I'd consider myself fairly restrained when buying gadgets.
All are used interchangeably and none have exhibited any issues with loose connectors.
