    Specs on the Samsung website for the d590 and the d390 are identical, the only difference seems to be the bezel size and styling so the d390 at $169 looks like the better deal.

        Would be handy to have something you could screw into instead of the stand. Afterall it's only 3.4kg without the stand.

  Nice, they're both PLS, which is Samsung's IPS. I wonder how good a panel it is.

    For the price it's not too bad. I think these are glossy panels though. Good for colours but not good if there is lots of glare in your room.

      Ahh, pity. I had a glossy monitor once. It didn't work well in my place. I kept seeing myself and the light behind me. Got rid of it pretty quickly.

  can anyone tell me how to get audio on this monitor? I've plugged my laptop in with HDMI, plugged a speaker to the 3.5mm and still no avail?
