Has anyone managed to purchase MP3 music on amazon.com? I tried to purchase an album recently and got stuck in a loop where it took me to the payment screen and asked for CC and address details. I tried Aussie CC with Aussie address and it didnt work saying it was invalid. I then tried US address with Aussie CC and it still didnt work.

I contacted amazon online support and they couldnt resolve it, they did offer to call me back the next day to sort it out but I couldnt be bothered and told them that I was no longer interested.

    • Wanted to buy a Pentatonix Christmas album for weeks last December. As it turned out bandit.fm had it cheaper. Usually ignored their e-mails, so lucky I checked!

    • Use your Australian credit card to buy amazon credit via a gift card. Disassociate your credit card and make an American address your primary billing address.

At that point you should be able to buy music.

If you're still unable to complete a purchase them you might need to use an American VPN or DNS connection.

      • I actually had 1 dollar credit that I was trying to use up but just couldnt as even though the charge was 0 it still forced me to enter CC and address details.
I might try again using VPN and see what happens.

    • When I went to England three years ago, I purchased a song from Amazon UK with no problems. I used my Australian Amazon account, and an Australian-issued credit card.

It seems the limitation is location, which they get from your IP address. A VPN should be able to remove this limitation.
