Big Mac $5 meal deal inc. small coke/fries - why is it $5.45 etc. not $5?

I've been to a few now and each place seems to do its own 'price adjustment' according to location.

I mean I dont care about 45 cent and I often just go for the 60c upgrade anyway but it seems strange that this is actually a thing these days?

Advertise $5.00 but charge more everywhere?

Hungry Jacks doesnt do it neither does KFC/Dominos.

  • yea this is common , thats why they dont advertise prices on their site, some specials like the loose change menu are nation wide prices , but the rest of the menu vary s from location to location

It's a free fries and coke with a purchase of a Big Mac, so the $5.45 is the price of a Big Mac.

Where do they advertise it at $5? Prices are different at every store, mine charges $5.80

    • I thought mine was bad at $5.70, I'm guessing your in WA too?

      • In Brisbane, most of the stores around me charge $5.80 :(

  • around $5.35 here in Adelaide but some stores ive been to still charge $4.95 for just the burger (and therefore the small fries and drink too)
