Not that I'm an alcoholic, but I like to have a well stocked bar for entertaining at home, so I'm always looking out for good deals on spirits and liqueurs.
It would be great if there was one category for all alcohol related deals, as they now tend to be in Food & Grocery, Entertainment, or Other.
Just a thought.
I know there are other site users who don't like alcohol deals, so I suspect this proposal would find some support from both users seeking it, and users blocking it.
Tags are pretty hit and miss.
I have posted a couple of wine deals, and when I did the tags I didn't use 'alcohol' as I wouldn't do a search like that myself.
Considering there are pretty frequent alcohol related posts, and we already have categories for pets and automotive, which I suggest would get fewer posts, it doesn't seem unreasonable.
Look up boozle.com.au its already been done
Boozle is great for finding the best price for a specific item, but there isn't a way to just see good deals as they pop up across a wide variety of products.
I do use Boozle, but the thought of "I wish Boozle worked more like Ozbargain" prompted this post.
I just tried to do the same thing and I also think it's an idea to have an alcohol category, no matter how many tags you use you will never know that you found everything, and I think a lot of people will want to filter out alcohol from their bargains list
Update: Starting from today we will now have a Alcohol category. You can use our personalised Front page settings to completely hide the deals from your deals feed, if required.
I don't know about entertainment, but alcohol related deals should be under Food & Grocery. You can track them using tags (beer, wine, scotch whisky etc), or stores (Dan Murphy's, First Choice Liquor, etc).
