Ahhh hate site where I have to sign up or facebook to even see the deal. Livingsocial or livingspies… Anyone know the quality of this brand though? Worth share my details for?

    • +6

Yep, that alone means I will not deal with the site. If I lose out on a deal, so be it, but I will not cater to that crap and I won't bother with a fake email or my fake FB acc.

Just refresh/reload the page and that popup window will disappear.

Anyone know the quality of this brand though?

looking simply at the physical size of it id say there is no way its 8000mah. size alone i cant see it being much bigger than 3000'ish which means its probably actually much less again because why would they only lie a little bit about the real capacity? going by some of the batteries i have seen (and purchased myself) they often claim 10x the real capacity

without a money back guarantee i wouldnt trust it, even with a guarantee i still wouldnt trust the circuitry inside it to be "protected" and not end up in a fire

Wonder how well this is against the xiaomi.

Without any data other than strong reviews of xiaomi and common sense on this uncommon brand, I'm sure the xiaomi is a safer investment.

It is a 'made up' brand. The importer/supplier has a 'dummy' web site with a store with ridiculously inflated 'supposed' bargain prices. This is used to fool suckers into thinking they are getting a bargain via the 'deals' sites - which are the only places this overpriced crap is really sold.

I am going to come in early on this and claim that it is a scam.

It won't be 8,000mAh. The batteries will not be certified as safe for Australia (as per recent recall of another such device).

My reason for deciding this is that Living Social takes 33% to 50% of the selling price. This does not leave enough for this device to have the specifications claimed.

    Edit:
Just look at the inflated fake retail prices on the NiftySpot website.

Stick with Xiaomi, don't trust these random brands.

I have one that looks exactly the same as this, but rated 12000mAh. I got it for free, but tbh, I don't think it's very good. I have a feeling it's exactly the same and that the ratings are made up. I probably wouldn't recommend it.
