Are the mega packs for larger babies?

  • wipes are all the same size more or less… there's 384 of them in a mega pack as opposed to the smaller ones

    • thanks for the deets, deeps!

  • i think these are refills are they not? If so, what containers do people use to put them in?

  • the huggies container made specifically for this. works really well

  • The cheapest ive bought the huggies 384 refill packs was $13…from Big W

  • This is a pretty average price. It was only $13 at Big W not long ago and with 5-7.5% off depending on what Wish gift card you have. Woolworths and Coles usually have fairly good prices for even bigger boxes.

  • 4c/wipe vs 3c/wipe for the Aldi 80 Pack $2.49
    https://www.aldi.com.au/en/groceries/baby-care/baby-care-det…
Which works out to be $11.52 for 384.

Why don't you just use $50 notes you rich buggas!

    • I prefer not to work out how much nappies and wipes cost per unit because it will only make you cry every day as you throw out the most expensive trash bag ever.

    • until you realised you need to use 2x the amount of wipes to get the filth off or have several leaky diaper episodes…. you will learn quick smart at 3am in the morning with hands full of shit, soiled diaper facedown on the floor and a kicking, wailing baby, that some products are cheap for a reason. (like condoms ;)

some aldi stuff are good, but not all of them. Besides, using notes to clean up doesn't do a good job anyway.

      • they're wipes, they're all essentially the same.
Having used Huggies, Aldi & homebrand wipes on 4 kids, I can say that with a lot of confidence.

        • I dont agree with that. We bought a box of target generic branded ones ages ago. They are rubbish. Aldi are very decent though. That said, id rather huggies ones if price wasnt an issue.

        • I actually went out to compare 20 different brands of wipes (including adults and flushable ones), so what I know what works and what are just average and not value for money.

        • @slowmo:

We've tried heaps of brands, and Huggies has been the best - having said that, we don't have an Aldi here so haven't tested theirs.

        • @deeps: i don't particularly like the huggies ones though. my earlier post to supabrudda was more about going through different wipes and knowing how well they do rather than testing wipes on kids. :P

  • $14.95 a box, usually $19.95.

    they're $17 at Coles, so you're only saving $2

  • Has anyone had any luck price matching wipes? Their conditions exclude it, it seems:

*Babies"R"Us Price Match is available in store only on Baby Gear excluding nappies, wipes, baby food and baby formula.

Not really a deal… these are regularly on sale at Woolies for $13 a box.
