Tyres I bought 2 weeks ago from kmart were fitted and balanced etc for $215 each are $239 here and not including fitting balancing, they are mark $75 off so for my tyres not a deal but others maybe fine.

p zero nero for my car $229 - $18 = $211 each at tyreripoffs or only $155 on fleabay and historically tyresales have been far more expensive than simply going to a regular dealer.

also tyresales gone from being a banned site to now promoted by the site owner? needed a couple of free sets of wheels scotty?

Quite an accusation without the facts. The domain TyreSales.com.au was banned on 23 Sept 2013 for a month (expired 26 Oct 2013) because of too many negative-voted deals from the representatives. If you actually look at the deals from this domain there were a few deals posted over the last year so it's far from "banned site".

I've been sent literally hundreds of different promotions a day. Many have already been posted by fellow OzBargainers. My bad for not doing enough research.

In any case, Tyresales has been banned for 30 days due to unpopular deals per our unpopular deal policy. I doubt they will come back but if they do and the next deal is bad, this will result in a permanent ban.
        Thanks,
        Neil

        Banned! Thanks.

on 4 Oct 2013 the domain was still banned temporarily as we set the domain to be banned due to unpopular deal on 25 Sep. Neil's "banned" message was referred to the circumvention on 4 Oct, which resulted the tyresalescomau account permanently banned. However the domain itself was still released from penalty on 26 Oct.

Take it from someone who's been in the industry for a little over 20 years now… They're bad for business! I'd actually rather use the likes of (cough) Tempe!

Funnily enough I was out to dinner one night with some friends and was chatting to a guy (who's a friend of a friend that I've met on previous occasions) about the weather, life, you know… stuff, when he said "You're in the tyre game, we're starting another Carsales site, but for tyres, what do you think?"
To put it simply, after hearing his/their business agenda and how they were planning to operate, I politely said it's not how I would do it if given the chance, kicked my wife, and had her change the topic.
But secretly I was hoping that after dinner, he'd walk out of the restaurant, fall off the gutter breaking his neck, and be driven over by a passing semi!

Unfortunately I don't think this qualifies here as a good enough reason to neg the deal!
          End of objective personal rant!

  • I'll stick with tyretrader. Only used them once but my 205/45 R17 P Zero Nero GT's were cheaper there than anywhere I called (about 10 places). My local tyre guy fitted them.

Four p7 cinturato tyres for my car 4x$168 = $672 plus fitting and shipping. Probably around $760 mark minus $50 cashback around $710. I had them fitted and balanced 3 weeks ago for $400 for all four…

wait, even there own ebay store for the size you posted is cheaper than this "deal" $108.40 PIRELLI CINTURATO P1 195/60R15 88V FREE SHIPPING, FREE ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE

well this call for a permanent ban now! no deal here as cheaper on their eBay store.

  • +1

Tyresales is a total rip-off! No matter what brand of tyre you can get them much cheaper elsewhere.
