  • Hi, not trying to be anything more than conscious: Are these fair trade? Thank you.

    • +1

The East Timor coffee is Fair Trade and the Colombian Coffee is imported directly by our friend Andres at Crop Del Monte who is from Colombia himself and has a passion for helping the farmers and improve quality and awareness. For this reason he pays premiums back to the farmers and works closely with them himself.

The Wahana is also a well established farm that looks after it's workers and the Nicaragua is a RFA certified coffee but neither of these two are registered as Fair Trade.

<3 Crop Del Monte - met the reps during MICE last year not knowing who they were. Very impressed!

        • Great to hear :-) These guys are excellent to work with and we've always been impressed with the quality of the coffees they source.

Are you going to Mice this month?

        • @mannabeans: Heck yes! Two days of coffee bliss - plus apparently there is a cake show next door this year.
Are you coming down to show off the Brewover? I'll make sure to spread the word if you are :)

        • +1

@yojabbajabba: Flora flew down today on business but only for the day. Not sure I'll make it this year as there's a lot going on and we've flying to China in a few weeks to do the compliance and quality control for Brewover.

Thanks for the offer, if I do decide to come down I'll hit you up and we can grab a coffee. Brewover is going to be at Cafe Biz this year and also the Shanghai Coffee expo and you may see it in a few upcoming comps and events shortly as well.

  • Hi Rep I just ordered, however I have a question. Any chance of getting some deals on your Specialty Coffee – Grand Cru Coffees - particular the mid to high end varieties?

    • +3

Yup, I have a fantastic new Colombia Margaritas Las Esperanza that arrived in a couple of weeks ago and some more great coffees just in yesterday as well.

Some of these are a fair bit more expensive so not always perceived as a deal when listed on Ozbargain as not everyone is aware of the big variance in pricing between different specialty coffees. If you want to send an additional $15 through Paypal and leave a note as to how you usually drink your coffee(ie espresso, filter, milk based etc) then I can substitute in a couple of more expensive specialty coffees for you on this ocassion. Otherwise I'll consider adding a drop down menu on a future deal offering a similar premium option

      • I am also interested in paying a bit more for specialty coffees that are suitable for espresso!

  • Are these two coffees any good for Espresso? In particular latte or cappuccino?

    • It's quite subjective but they're all pretty versatile coffees so should be able to be enjoyed for both these methods.

  • Hi Rep, I've sent through the additional payment. Any deals on expresso coffees with high SCAA Cupping Scores (~90+) that I could add to my order? Happy to pay extra. Cheers.
