Logitech LS1 Mouse for Free - Just Pay Postage of $10 (Varies), but in The Form of Store Rebate

100

Apparently, the mouse is effectively free due to a $10 credit rebate with PayPal express payment which covers the cost of the mouse. So all you pay is the shipping cost which for my postcode of 3000 is $10.

But your PayPal account will be deducted the full $20. You just get $10 of it back in the form of store credit. So it's free if you plan on buying from ShoppingSquare in the future. If not, it's not free.

Let me know if I'm mistaken somewhere or have left out vital details.

  • not quite free, you only get a store credit rebate of $10. So if you are looking to purchase something else from them, then this deal is perfect.

    • Yup, I noticed that too and have mentioned it.

  • +1

    From the SS website

Buy the Logitech Laser Mouse today for just $9.99. If you pay with PayPal Express, we'll give you a $10 Store Credit Rebate Via Square-Points Program - Making your Logitech Laser Mouse FREE. Just pay shipping.

So you pay $10 for the mouse and SS gives you $10 back in the form of a store credit.
You then have to pay shipping of $10

So you pay $20 to have the mouse delivered and you can then buy something from SS and use your $10 store credit.

So yes, if you intend to buy from SS again the mouse is essentially free+postage

    • Already mentioned. :)

I guess you were typing this while I was updating the details of the 'deal'.

      • I was.
I guess if someone doesnt understand your wording they have mine :)

  • Staticice have the cheapest at $13. $15 at MSY.

RRP of $39.95?? Maybe when it first came out…

    • Yes, when it 1st came out (2008) It's $39.95 RRP

I just checked the Logitech website, it's become $29.95 RRP now (I just updated in listing as well)

    • Hmmm… so one could say that even without the store credit rebate ShoppingSquare's price is even lower than those in StaticIce if postage is included.

  • Shopping Square have free shipping with Paypal payment too..
    As per another post today.

    • Does that work with the mouse?

I cannot see the offer anywhere.

    • You can't use the free shipping coupon with this deal

  • How long does the rebate take to come through, usually? Never used shopping square before but I thought I might as well get the mouse…
    Thanks for posting the deal!

    • Ah, nice to know at least someone found it useful! Thank you!

From what I understand, this isn't a traditional rebate where you get a mail-in check. Instead, the rebate is in the form of store credit. So $10 off your next purchase with ShoppingSquare. You might be able to buy another Logitech mouse (the other colour) and use it that way.

  • Reminder: store name in title :)

  • Worked out to be practically free for me, here… I had about 9,000 reward points ($9 worth) at Shopping Square sitting unused since 2008 because it was below the 10,000 threshold required to redeem them. So 9,000 points + 10,000 points with this offer = $19 store credit for me! Very happy. :)

  • good buy

  • Is the store credit that you get in the form of a coupon code? How long does it take to get?

If I buy a mouse, would I be able to use the store credit with the free shipping paypal offer (which is in the form of a coupon code)? Cause if they're both coupon codes, I can't use both then..

    • The store credit is instant credit to your ShoppingSquare account once you pay with PayPal Epxress. ready to use for your next purchase immediately. (no coupon code required)

      • If I buy more than one, do I still get the $10 rebate for all of them?

      • Yup, I can confirm I was given the $10 credit (in the form of 10,099 reward points) immediately after purchase with PayPal.

        • So you bought 2 and you got 10,099 points?

          • @manbearpig: I bought one only and got the 10,099 points (which equals $10.10 in store credit). I don't know if you get 20,198 points if you buy two.

      • Ok, cool I bought 2 and got 200198 points (you get 99 points normally on top of the 10000). Then I bought a 2GB SD card and a 4GB micro SDHC card and used the 'free shipping with paypal' coupon, PP2008FS. All up $20.04 + free shipping which the rebate covered. So the mice were $7.50 each. Not bad.
