FREE: Missile Defender For Android @ Amazon
4.5/5 From 2.4k Reviews

The city is under attack and you are in charge of protecting it. Incoming missiles rain down at night, but repairs and upgrades are available during the day. Tap on the screen and use the multi-touch feature to launch interceptors. Be sure to anticipate the path of enemy missiles and pick your targets accurately. Keep an eye on your own missile count and use them strategically. Be constantly vigilant as difficulty increases each nightfall. Good luck!

Missile Defender is in the style of the classic Missile Command game and offers clean HD art work, multi-touch controls, upgradable missiles, and endless levels of game play. If you've enjoyed the classic Missile Command or Missile Commander, Missile Defender is sure to bring back great memories

  • Defend against massive missile attack with precisely-targeted interceptors
  • Enjoy fine-tuned controls and clean, HD art work
  • Keep upgrading your weapons and conquering new levels

  • Is it a concern that four of the five reviews on the first page report malware? That seems unusual, to say the least.

NOTE: the malware reports are from the Amazon AU page, not the US page. Maybe the game ships with different bundled software in different territories.

"I installed this and my Kaspersky immediately told me it was not a virus but was malicious content that criminals could use against me. With many concerns of contaminated 3rd party apps I have read about on news sites, indecided not to keep this on my device."

""Armor For Android" detected Malware, SMSreg.AO. Therefore, I did not install nor try this FAOTD. On searching Google I found this "Programs in this category have a number of functions (such as concealing files in the system, hiding windows running applications, terminating active processes, etc.) which can be used with malicious intent. They are, in themselves, not malicious." Another site had this "A potentially unwanted adware program designed to deliver various advertisements to the users' systems"
Bottom line, I am not taking the chance with my phone."

"Not sure if this is a false positive, but Avast reports that this app contains malware. This is as of 7/28/2013. I've removed it until I can find out for sure."

"I have loved missile defender games in the past, but obviously without malware. Game contains dubious extras. Trustgo Security found a low risk threat, PUA!smspay.A@Android. I have a wifi only tablet but uninstalled anyway "

    • Yeah all of those are from 2013, read all the recent ones (2015) and no problems :)

  • +1

Normally free (on Google's Play store) anyway? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.epicpixel.…
