it's my dads birthday coming up in a month. are 4k tv's really worth it? and is the panasonic one a good price? o.o

  There isn't any 4K content to watch, so they just upsample 1080p content (Blurays). Upsampled Blurays would be a tiny bit better. But the manufacturing cost isn't much more than 1080p and TV manufacturers are desperate to push the next big things so I soon all TVs will be 4K. Sorry if this doesn't help, I don't have a clear answer, just throwing some thoughts out there :)

    Also at this size I'd be looking at how good the smart tv side of is. Might be more useful to get a FullHD properly smart TV rather than this (looks like a dumb one).
