  • What's the normal price?

    • $69.95 is RRP

      • I wonder how much Target will sell it for…

        • As it's not an $80RRP game, maybe $54, but it will probably be $58 or $59.

  • Says it's released the 10th of March on their website and delivery is 3-10 days. Any idea if this is an accident or if we're lucky enough to get it early? The Australian release date is the 21st.

    • +1

Definitely not released yet, plus this copy will most likely come from UK anyway. Would probably get it about 2 weeks or so after launch too unless they got stock in on the 10th to send out.

  • After seeing this advertisement, I'm really not interested in this game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCJF5A2HEuw

It seems like they've really dumbed this game down to nothing. You don't even really play on a board, there's just some stupid car or something. The mini games look kinda stupid too, less creative than the ones we saw on the n64.
I would wait for reviews because I doubt this game is even worth $30

    • Looks like a fairly consistent evolution since MP8/9 ???

      • It does, I remember mario party 9 was not well praised.

I added the n64 comment to let people know the perspective I was coming from. This game is very different to what mario party used to be.

    • it is the MP game style. it's nintendo it won't get bad reviews.

nintendo games don't drop in price …Mario Kart Wii is still $40 and that came out 7 years ago. don't hold your breath at this dropping any time soon.

      • Last game didn't get great reviews. Yeah I'm not saying this will drop to that price, just that it might not be worth this price for the enjoyment people may get from it.

        • tbh i feel this price is quite good ….it's games like this that i would rip on the Wii though just wish we could do the same on the WiiU

    • So with about 70 mini games, and 5 main boards such as this http://www.mariowiki.com/images/thumb/f/f3/MP10_Board_1.jpg/…

and another 9 amiibo boards it is weak?

    • Hello sir, looks like the complaints you're posting are from March 2012!

      "Wait for the reviews"

Wow. You must not buy many (Non-Wii-U) next gen games then.

      • It's true, I don't buy many games, I do wait for the reviews if something looks iffy.
Zeldas are always immune, as is mario kart, but heavy caution must be used with 3ds games (paper mario, yoshi's new island).

With PC games, I don't buy many, a lot don't get a good review, and if they do they're not really my style. I loved the heck out of Portal 2, that game was good.

I predict that this mario party will not receive 8/10 or above, because I don't think nintendo care too much about this game being actually good but rather just as something stupid to keep kids entertained for a while.

The 1-player bowser gamepad addition is probably not going to feel right, looks like something they throwed in because "hey guys we gotta like make something wif ta gamepad cuz its wii u".

Just saying, this game is probably not at all on a level comparable to most of the great wii u games we have currently. So if anyone is thinking "omg another A+ exclusive wii u title" then they should think again.

        • I think you miss the point of this genre of game. It is supposed to be a themed board game for all ages. If you have played any of the other games in this series you know what you are going to be getting, however if you care to look at http://www.mariowiki.com/Mario_Party_10 you may get a better idea of some of the new additions. I am not even certain if you are actually trolling with your comment to be honest. As for Nintendo not caring, that statement is a completely a throw away piece of bait and your assumption on the use of the gamepad not feeling right or being a tacked on addition is necessary for the Bowser Party games.

        • @lukeloop:

My point is this is not a game for all ages.

I'm aware of mario party 10 stuff, gamexplain has some videos up at the moment. So far in my opinion it looks bad and not the sort of thing people will reminisce and say "lets play mario party 10 again!"

And the bowser party games all look really bad…

        • @musicinbed69: It is for all ages. That means young kids and older are able to play it. I am not saying it is a classic like a Zelda but it is designed as a family game which means all ages.

        • @lukeloop: Exactly. In my experience, young kids are able to get fun out of anything, no matter how awful. That's why parents buy their kids PS4's and the Order 1886.

  • since it's a Oz company will EBgames pricematch does anyone know?

  • is this PAL or NTSC?

    • sorry… just found is PAL

  • Blockbuster has really bad reviews, long wait times…

    • +1

      target has if for $54

      • is it actually that cheap at target?

  • Merged from Mario Party 10 $43.16 + $2.50 Shipping @ Blockbuster ($43.16 at JB Hi-Fi Via Price Match)

I Price matched at JB Hi-Fi with blockbuster, saved shipping cost and get the game on the spot without waiting. Copy of JB Hi-Fi receipt here.

    • I'm sure YMMV as they are imported copies..

    • don't think they'll match receipts but price match with blockbuster is a good idea. +1

    • Good find with Blockbuster. Usual price for JB Hifi is $69.

    • i got EBgames to price match blockbuster with no issues just showed them the website and no issues at all.

    • Thanks OP, my local Big W didn't get any copies in yesterday for some reason and EB sold out so I'll try the price match this arvo.

      • For some reason big w didn't get any stock, I tried price matching with my local jb to the target $54 and they wouldn't.

    • this won't last long until they catch up… blockbuster isn't a local supplier as has been mentioned…

      good luck guys!

      • -1

lol yeah good work, must have gotten an clueless emo

    • I'm impressed JB price matched on such a low cost item. Nice work OP!

    • I'm new here, I don't know how to do the price match thing… can someone explain.

      • I just spoke to the salesman in JB and opened up the blockbuster website on my phone that's showing the price of the game. She then confirmed this on her computer and asked me to pay for it. It took about 5 minutes in total. Hope it helps :)

    • Good price if you can price match at JB!

    • Does a block bluster have to be nearby?

      • Nah I don't think there's a blockbuster near where I bought.

    • Never knew they price match blockbusters, will be good if EB price match Toukiden Kiwanni for 57.56 and Borderlands for 63.16.
Will try it on Wed when I go there to get my bloodbourne.

    • Blockbuster ships their games from overseas. It's no different than trying to price match Ozgameshop or Amazon. You may get a clueless employee that will do it though.

      • I guess the only difference is blockbuster has local brick and wall retail store where the other are purely online. I guess that's the difference.

        • True that, it certainly has a higher chance of working.

    • Ebgames couldnt price match and jb hifi said you must be really lucky to get at that price. No joy
