  • What's the difference between 'Day One Edition' and the normal edition?

  • +1

Wow the day one edition is still on shelve?

    • +6

      Yep, since day one.

      • We call that one Monday in NSW.

    • Should be day 483 by now! Hahaha

    • And that's why you don't buy games day 1.

      Unless they're Monster Hunter.

A much better deal for DR3 Apocalypse edition with all 4 dlc and Nick Ramos Zombie Survival Pack @ JB $29.

    • nice, thank you.

    • Is this game worth it? Never played this series.

Much like most trilogies these days:

DR1: Is a great new IP, with a lot of fun to be had mowing down zombies. It's not just a generic zombie setting, because whilst it is dark it has a ridiculously joyous attitude to mowing down zombies and crazy human bosses. However it feels clunky ans some aspects could be fixed, like the shooting and some movement controls.
DR2: Hilarious, gory, fun and a genuinely excellent game with again, a funny, colourful atmosphere around the usual gloomy setting of zombies. The best of the series (You can get it on PS3 and Xbox360 for like 30 bucks)
DR3: Completely forgot its previous games. Gritty, serious, and sucks the fun out of a franchise that satirises generic zombie settings by making the third one about a generic zombie setting. An xbone launch title so things don't work like they should, mechanics are back to clunky and ill-thought out, with the best moments being the "Walking Dead" style moments when you go into a new area and see a sea of zombies.

Play the second one. This one will give you a bad taste in your mouth and you won't want to try the others.

This game and ryse Im not busting to play so waiting for the day they go onto GWG for free, eventually

  • yea much better off getting the apocalypse edition, unless you want day one for collector purposes.
although i wouldn't be surprised if they send you a normal edition

infamous first light was free with ps+ last month or so, but good buy for only $17

  • I believe that JB has quite a few copies of DR used for $19

  • Merged from [Xbox One] Ryse $24, Dead Rising 3 $24 @ Harvey Norman

$24 For Ryse is a pretty good deal if you ask me!

$24 For Dead Rising 3 as well!

Not sure if this is the cheapest but I sure think it's a bargain for two awesome games!
