Was browsing Catchoftheday for headphones and i came across this deal. Monster MVP Carbon Gaming On-Ear Headphone for $49.95 + delivery which i thought was a very nice price for a higher end gaming headphone.

Also available in white colour for $49.95 + delivery.

For a price comparison. Going by the retail price this $49.95 seems like a bargain.

  I had a set of these about a year ago (I won them in a competition). These are GREAT headphones. I believe the carbon edition ones are actually limited edition, too. From memory, these retailed at about $350 when they were released, but that was probably because it has the Monster name.
  Either way, for $50, you won't be disappointed.

    Yes I recall that brand, Monster…they were known for setting the bar high for HDMI cables. A good brand, I don't know.

  I'm liking the Logitech G430's I recently purchased, they supply analog and a USB adapter you can pilfer for other headphones, more tinkering to be had.

  It's only the white headphone that's out of stock. The black headphone is currently still in stock for now. This headphone is one of the best sellers. Selling fast by the looks.

  As for myself i just ordered the black version headset. Now i'll own both the white and black versions. :)

    Well it sure beats JB Hi-Fi's price of $199. Even Harvey Norman has it on their clearance price of $178 with black —> http://www.harveynorman.com.au/games-gaming-consoles/gaming-… or white —> http://www.harveynorman.com.au/monster-ea-sports-mvp-carbon-… which is a joke compared to what COTD is offering it for. These headphones were normally retailing for $200 or more. Bargain in my opinion for $50 from COTD. These are high end surround sound gaming headphones. I'd reckon that COTD must of had a stock over supply of these headphones in the warehouse and weren't selling quick enough so they slashed the price.
