    Its not so much a question about this v Cree, but which Samsung LED is this (not sure how many models they made, not sure they still make any now anyway), and then which Cree, Luxeon, Osram to name just a few LEDs to compare it too.
    
    Within Crees brand, say an XM-L v XP-G or MT-G, its not fair to compare them directly, they serve different needs. XM-L v XM-L2 is a fairer comparison, or even the XP-L although all 3 are Cree.
    
    XP-G and Nichias 219 is an example of different brands that have competing models.

  Doesn't make sense if their base pricing is in USD (which it is). If an AUD price was listed it would be wrong as soon as the currency rates change.
