12 XM-L T6 13800 Lumen Torch $26.26 Shipped @ eBay (1688ssk)

30

No description really required, never bought from this person so no idea of the quality just seems cheap. They also have a 15 led version but at 40cm and 1kg I thought this was too big. They have a nitecore d4 charger for US$26 as well.

I have this torch, its OK but smaller more portable torches are just as bright. However this torch can be used as a baton

    "13800 Lumen" LOL
    Must be Chinese lumens…

    • +4

      Thats the lumens if
      - you can draw 12A from your 18650 cells
      - keeping the emitters at 25C
      - use the highest bin (U2 not T6, let alone whatever these really are)

They basically just take the theoretical max lumens of the emitters might get in a lab, not in this torch.

The design is a bit of a joke.

better put in some UltraTrustMegaFire 10,000mAh 70A 18650s in to be safe

    • Chinese lumens…I give them more credit than that.. there is no way they would make outrageous claims like that! I'd just assume they add the "claimed" output of each LED or something.but even then im not 100% sure how it works…

      this stuff makes me angry.

    Wow!

    • I will let you know how it goes. Its not like I'm buying my 12th torch cause I need it. More entertainment value.

    • Adds to the excitement

Heh, I love that the low mode is still "4400 lumens" - because making ridiculous claims about the high mode wasn't quite enough to sell it……

    • This will be really handy for when my imax projector bulb dies.

  • His nitecore charger is probably counterfeit

    From article page:
    Attention
Continuously using of the flashlight will generate a lot of heat. To ensure the safe operation, please carefully read the operating the following warning and suggestions. !!!!!
    1. Do not put the torch on the place unattended.
Do we have to organize attendants in shifts for 24/7 cover?
    2. Do not allow children to play or use the flashlight.
This is not a children's toy… Just an adult toy (not THAT kind, although…)
    3. Do not leave the torch's glasses under sunlight.
So you get glasses in the package or do you have to source your own? Are sunnies OK?

    BUHAHAHAHA!!!

  • Any recommendations for a really powerful torch like the "75w" model featured in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGANrd7u4o0

    • I have Nitecore TM26 & would highly recommend it.
Powerful, great beam, very rugged, multi-mode.
      Love it.

      • Anything cheaper? ':o

  • Anyone know the brightest torch available that uses AA or AAA
