Nutri Ninja - (AU) Model 1000W - $209.99 @ Costco Casula NSW (Membership Required)

70

Been looking for this unit for a while as most were depleted from the major stores.
Even then the price wasn't this cheap back then. See attached receipt, tried to get the price and box in one.

Australian 1000W version , i think the US version had a different wattage

From what I've heard/seen the Nutri Ninja is slightly better producing a smoother result than the Nutri bullet 900W that has been on show for a while now.

Cheapest I've seen is the $249 from Bing Lee / Harvey Norman..

Had plenty in stock .

I have this it is powerful destroys ice, seeds, nuts and oats. It suctions to the bench so you can leave it unattended while it does its 45-60 second cycle.

It is loud though and the cycles pulse the stopping and starting will make the loudness even more annoying for your housemates/neighbours. But screw them I have a smooth protein shake.

The cups are also great. solid plastic and good lid for drinking from, Anybody know where to get extra cups?

    • I have one and have been hesitant to put ice in. I had a previous (different model) self destruct when I did so. Do you think I need to worry or can I make my snow cones?

I bought this a few weeks ago from Costco and LOVE it. I have put ice in it and it is amazing but I haven't used only ice. It's usually with other fruit and frozen banana. Hope that helps.

          @tonka:
I really like Kimberly Snyder's glowing green smoothie recipe. I don't always worry about getting organic.

Otherwise pinterest is a great place to start.
Though often I just throw in a few things together like some berries, pear or apple, some chia seeds, frozen banana, water and ice.
Best one so far was mango, chia seeds, frozen banana and ice. Had the consistency of a thick shake…so delicious.

My kids mix veg and fruit together and seem to love their concotions.
Berries, cucumber, carrot and frozen banana was one recipe.

          Have fun!

  • Pistachios gone up to $30 a bag now?

    • Yes :(
It used to be $19, and lowest was $17

  • so what is this?

    • It's a superstrong blender. You can see promos on the "as seen on tv" channels. This one has individual cups so you can make shakes to go.

  • Is Nutri Bullet and Nutri Ninja are the same? Or which is better…

I haven't tried Nutri Bullet but I believe you can only buy it from the numbers in the ad.
I looked at reviews and Nutri ninja seemed like the best to me plus I liked that I could take a look at it before purchase at costco.

There's plenty of reviews online comparing the two.
