Would this better than aldi 55 4k? TCL seems like it has 4k upscaling and the aldi one doesnt mention that it does.
I'd say both must have upscaling. How good it is I don't know, except that it isn't a substitute for actual 4K content. This one seems to have more features, (e.g. 3D).
I bought this one the last time it went on sale. You can get another $20 through the energy rebate.
I use it for desktop PC. It works well. Can't go back to a regular small monitor now. The built in wifi and apps to watch online programs work surprisingly well too. It does sap about 100watts of power when the screen is constantly refreshing with non-static images, such as playing full screen videos. But that's probably expected of all TVs of this size.
I have never used as an actual FTA TV though.
Man I bought it and it had a dead pixel. Image was good but did have light bleed from bottom right corner. Apps were crap but fta was good with 4k upscaler. Ran pc at 4k and it had high input lag with games but then again I didnt play with settings. Lucky I got a refund. Guess ill try aldi 4k tv and hope for the best.
