  About time a bloody supermarket opened up in Richmond, but seriously, $3 minimum to park?! Are they joking… I'll go elsewhere like Coles Malvern or Prahran where it's free to park. Never heard of a supermarket charging for parking before.

    If it were free it would just be full of people parking for the nearby shops/attractions, of course you have to pay for it. How many people who drive to a supermarket are going to spend less than $30 anyway??

    Still having said that I wouldn't call this a bargain.

      That goes with the territory of building a supermarket car park. You could use that argument for any supermarket anywhere. People are always going to park there who don't intend on shopping at the supermarket. It doesn't mean you should charge people.

        Err no. Parking in Richmond is in high demand because of nearby shops and attractions. Contrast that situation with 95% of regular supermarkets in suburban areas where on street parking is free.

        I know of no supermarket in a CBD or surrounding suburb that provides free parking.

        What are you on about? I used to live in South Melbourne and all the supermarkets there offer free parking - like the Coles on Clarendon St. and the other Coles and Woolworths too.

    It was already in Swan Street, it's just moving to the old Dimmeys site.

  Its new store with easy underground parking and also i use to pay for Parking in coles richmond old store.

  Normally people spend $30 and they getting 90 mins of free parking…

  However i dun lyk the scenerio of 0-3 hr will be charged $3.

  Either the 90 minutes free parking shud b applicable forever or change the minimum parking time and rate.
