Tech Issue: Desktop Won't Pick up Wi-Fi at Home

Hi guys,

2 days ago my desktop stopped picking up wifi signal (the one at home) and I tried to search online for an answer but no luck with it. So all my other devices are connected to the home wifi except my desktop..It happened before but usually it comes back alive after resetting my router. However this time, nothing seems to work.

I wanted to try my luck here hoping someone would know what's causing the issue. (I have no problem replacing a new network card adapter but I don't think it's broken since it can see other wifis and I can connect it to my hotspot via iphone)

Thanks heaps!

  • By reset is that a full factory reset?

    • Nope haven't tried. Do you mean go I to the router and reset it?

      • Yeah, But only as a last resort. I was just wondering what you had tried already.

  • Can you tell what wifi channel the router is using?

    • Hmm sorry I'm a bit of a noob, how can I tell
