  • Borderlands 2: GOTY Edition 80% off - $7.99 US

This makes me wish I hadn't already bought the vanilla version for $5 earlier

    • I ran out of steam when I finished the main game.

Pr-sequel and 2 weren't as good as the original unfortunately (IMO anyway)

      • aw don't tell me that, i've been looking forward to playing it. After all those posts a while back for golden keys, it sounded like a game to get excited about

        • That's just his opinion.

Most players agree that BL2 improved everything across the board from BL1, especially letting you join friends game with ease.

      • I ran out of Steam 1/2 way through the main game.

      • I just bought the borderlandS 2 goty couple days ago sigh

        • +1

I have friends who preferred the second since the first was quite a bit bland story wise. It just felt too whacky the way Saints Row 3/IV did compared to SR2.

  • +5

Nice write-up, a lot of work, would give another upvote if I could :D

    • +1

      Kind as always Ebany!

      • +1

        I try :)

But having to do all the research, compile all the links, and ensure the write up is without errors which Ozbargainers will attack an OP over is hard work. Considering this deal has 1200 people who have clicked on the link and only 60 who have voted, it's often thankless as well. I did a couple of deal postings which didn't generate much love so I no longer bother.

I think people should have to cast a vote when using the link, Admin could even add a "neutral" vote which is mandatory for those without accounts and optional for those with. Wouldn't mind if we had a monthly quota of votes (maybe not Pos votes but certainly Neg votes) for discussions, I feel too many people (including myself) can just throw out Neg votes in discussions like an Ozbargainer spending money. Just look @Jv.

Anyways, it's late and I have some watermelon Cider to bottle :)

        • It can be time consuming especially if there's other users who posts the deal before me and I've half written up the long post so I have to scrap it. It would be nice if people used the voting system more often, especially with really popular deals that don't get anywhere near the ratio of clicks to votes. I have to admit though, I forget often to vote on deals that I've used or that I find valuable, I just don't like voting on stuff (I never vote on reddit for example). Maybe a more intuitive voting system would be good but I'm not sure how they can implement it without forcing other users to vote. /rant. Thanks for the comment, hope you enjoy the rest of your night!

        • @kaneissik: It's Sunday and I'm still bottling my Watermelon Cider while shopping for parts to fill my Corsair T380 Case - it's a good nite but I feel so bad ;)

        • @Ebany:
Always thought that case was interesting! I'm playing Diablo and about to play Bloodborne! Can't wait for a new week tomorrow… Not

        • @kaneissik: Diablo I've not played in a while. Bloodborne looks good, like Devils may Cry, but PS4 only isn't it?

        • @Ebany:
Diablo is much better than it used to be. I wouldn't really compare it to DMC. It's basically Dark Souls - same developer, same concept just different story. And yeah, PS4 as of the moment, may come to PC but who knows!

  • Just a heads up to those who want to purchase, say, two copies of Borderlands 2 (one for a friend and one for yourself) -

You need to use two different payment types, as there is a limit on purchasing with just one single type (Go figure).

  • +6

Would like to mention that with ANY purchase of a 2K Publisher Game, you receive a FREE copy of Spec Ops: The Line!

    • Came here to post this.

So don't buy a copy of SO:TL, but something else of similar value and get your copy free :)

    • Yep - Civilization III Complete is $1.60 USD, which I think is the cheapest option to grab Spec Ops free.

    • Thanks. I didn't see that anywhere. I've always wanted to give Spec Ops ago - nice bonus. I'm going to get myself a copy of the x:com complete edition.

      • Hi punk, did you have to add SO:TL together with your purchase or did you just buy X:COM then humble sent you the key for SO:TL??
        Thanks in advance.

        • +1

Hello, you just need to purchase any 2K title listed that's on sale, you'll get a key separately. Don't add the game to the checkout.

        • @kaneissik:

          Thanks for the tip!

    • God Dang it! Bought SOTL on steam for 4.99 USD

    • Spent 1 hour in that game and quit, it was a generic shooter with generic story

      • Generic shooter yes, generic story no. It gets good.

        • Sorta… but does not outweigh the bad gameplay, could just read the story on wiki

        • +1

          @Serapis:
That's true! I enjoyed it, maybe you'll give it a better go one day!

        • @kaneissik:

Unlikely since I've put it into my steam graveyard but +1 for the deal since Civ 5 was cheap =P

        • @Serapis:
Sounds like the 550 odd games I'll never play. Lovely.

  • +1

Both Alien Isolation and Civ V complete edition are well priced

  • Dishonored GOTY version is good, considering all the DLC will cost that, without the base game. Well worth the time playing this game

  • +3

Looks like Bethesda has applied Australian pricing to the Humble Store (50% off @ $39.97 for The Evil Within indicates the normal price is $79.95)

  • +2

Damn, was hoping to see FL:NV GOTY on here. Ah well till next time..

  • +1

Dishonored GOTY on GMG is USD$10.87 after the 20% off code.

  • Steam is selling Alien Isolation for the same discount price. (Good for me, as it was the only game I wanted!)

  • Thanks OP, just bought myself Civ 5 GOTY

  • +2

    2k is expensive

    • Agreed. These days I like to look and add to my wish list but I only buy Bundles or when it's at 90% off.

  • Valkyria Chronicles is a good price!
