Epson EB-W28 Projector $520 @ eBay Dick Smith Click and Collect or $10 Postage

50
CTECH20

Normally $800. Link to specs here
Does WXGA resolution 1280x800, and one of the brightest models at 3000 lumen (important when using it in a room with the least bit of ambient light).
Its a minor update on the EB-W18, which I own and can attest to. Upsides are the great bright picture, small compact form and good warranty support. Downsides are the lack of HDMI ports, the noise from the fan, poor inbuilt speakers, and the power consumption which at 180w even on eco mode rivals a large plasma.

Pair this with a chromecast and your golden

Also of note is the younger brother the S18
$365 +post, but only does 800x600, which is noticeable worse. Could be ok for a small room like a bedroom though, so worth a mention

  • Where can you stick the Chromecast?

EDIT: I read "lack of HDMI ports" as meaning there was no HDMI port at all. There is one.

Only one hdmi is easily fixed with a cheap 3->1 hdmi switch from ebay.

  • I was look at the BENQ W1070+ but kogan is over $200 more then the cheapest seller, and they seem to be the only one you can use the code at

I see that the W1070+ sells for $1249 at kogans web site but on kogans ebay page it sells for $1387.98, dodgy
