    The Amazon reviews suggest it's excellent. The description sounds promising. I'd get one if I didn't already have a UE Mini Boom I bought for around $55 at HN.

    Ended up getting it. Gets pretty loud. Sound quality is okay I think, but hard to compare since I haven't heard many portable speakers. It's going to suit my purposes quite nicely as a laptop speaker and speaker for my phone alarm.

  I got one of these the last time there was a DSE sale. Great little speaker. Better that the Sony handbag one if you know which one I mean. The bass is the first thing to fade as the battery depletes but a great speaker & sound for the price point. Haven't tried a comparison with UE Boom however. In short, I'd happily buy it again.

  eBay says estimated ready to collect by Friday evening (it's currently Wednesday)

  Hoping it'll be sooner as I really need it by Friday morning? Any recent experience about how long it's taking during this promo?

      Dick Smith online support couldn't help as they don't see the order in their system yet
