  • Getting closer to my date of Melbourne travel…
My luck it'll be a free salad or something

  • Someone please try and tell us if it works, cheers!

  • Just want to make sure it will work if we print it out right? Might wait until someone tests first.

  • Prepare to be disappointed as there are not that many in stores.

  • +3

I can confirm this works. just used it :) didn't even have to print it out - just saved the voucher to my iphone passbook and they scanned it at the counter.

  • Can confirm it works.

  • +1

Just tried guy said was invalid, and tried typing same thing. Anyone having this issue?

  • +3

So tempted to go into the city and get diabetes. MUST…RESIST…

  • -7

Thanks. I managed to get 20 from the new guy who worked there!

    • +1

      What a gentleman!

    • Broden, weren't you banned?

    • +3

don't tell me you scan it by yourself because you're the new guy there

  • +4

Tried 7-11 along Swanston street. Non of them accepting. Will drop a quick email to 7-11 and ask for the reason.

    • +4

Write to the customer service folks. They responded to my complaint RE slurpee and made me happy.

  • +1

Yup tried 10 7-11 none taking them, shouldn't br promoting this if it does not work.

  • +3

Top Tip: If you click on Map in the Wallet app it will tell you participating stores. This is my theory anyway :)

    • Will try and confirm tomorrow morning as my closest store is too far away.

    • Wallet app? The 7 eleven app? Confused

      • +2

When you view it on your phone it links you to a wallet app you can install. The android version is called Passes. You then load it into the app by accessing the link and click on Map.

        • +1

Gotcha, iOS dosent give a map. Ah well

        • Thanks, was wondering which one was best to use :)

  • Is this like only 1 donut or 1 box of 4 donuts? And is it any flavour?

    • One donut. The picture on the vouxher has all the glazed and flavoured ones so I assume it's one of your choice

  • So can you use this once in each 7/11 you come across or is it one use only?

This is the information under the barcode info icon.

Step 1a. Take a couple of bites out of Krispy Kreme doughnut at any 7-Eleven store.

Step 2. Present this pass at the counter to redeem your FREE doughnut.

      Step 3. Enjoy your freebie!

      • +1

This strategy worked for the Slurpee as well if they tried turning it down.

        • "That voucher is invalid. You need to take it up with them."

*Take a bite.* Do I? OK.

        • +1

          @Scrooge McDuck:

Then proceed to walk out the door whilst chewing furiously.

Continue chewing, lick your fingers, then walk into the next 7-eleven at other end of the block.

Then proceed to try again ;)

    • Step 2. Present this pass at the counter to redeem your FREE doughnut.

So no need to line up or even make eye contact with the guy at the counter either? Cool!

  • +4

Contact 7-11 if you cannot redeem.
    http://m.7eleven.com.au/contact-us

  • do anyone know how much is it for 1 in 7-11?

    • +1

      $2.50 - $3.00 depending on flavor.

  • tried near by braodway.. all said it is not even a barcode and they dont know how to redeem the code via their cash machines.. :$

    • They lied to you.

    • The one near mcdonalds or the one near subway? I'm complaining to their contact page about it. You should too.

  • +2

Get them to scan the doughnut first, then scan the barcode on the direct link. Worked for me.

    • +3

Where on the doughnut is the barcode?

  • Random but related question: does 7-11 sell the Original glazed doughnut dozen at KK retail price ($17.95) or slightly more?

  • I received one of these via email for a large slurpee, I didn't look like it scanned properly but the manager there can't say no.. anymore :D Though I swear my complaint was fully honest and fair when a legitimate k-kreme coupon didn't work (they sent me damn poprocks in the mail instead though)

  • Didnt work when the store assistant dude scanned the voucher first.

The champ gave my partner and I a doughnut each (two vouchers). So we didnt try scanning the doughnut first.

    Thanks though.

  • Me and my partner just scored a couple of free doughnuts. 7/11 guy scanned the barcodes off passbook. Cheers OP!

  • Get them to scan it to make sure it works before you go and pick your donut, it will come up as $0 on the display.

    • Unless you actually want to get it for free.

    • +4

what does the 'race' of the store owner have to do with your story, let alone this deal? Are you stereotyping?

      • Not really because only Indians work in 711 and they are usually the ones to refuse these offers

        • trololol (profanity)

        • Only indians work there because they turn up to work day in day out. Unlike some others

    • I have to agree with you on this one..

  • immm ahhh still bulking brah

  • +1

Collected mine about 15 minutes ago. It didn't scan properly but he still let me have it and said he'd sort it out himself =)

  • Scanned fine this morning for me on iPhone, caramel glazed, mmmm…. thank you OP

  • +1

For those wondering if this will work (and if its limited to certain stores) or not,

HOW TO REDEEM (Instructions found on the "back" of the voucher when added to Passbook)
Step1. Grab your favourite Krispy Kreme doughnut at any 7-Eleven store.
Step2. Present this pass at the counter to redeem your FREE doughnut.
    Step3. Enjoy your freebie!

So, its valid at 'any' 7-Eleven store. Enjoy.

  • +1

Voucher works, got one for my mate. Would go well with the large $1 cofee by withdrawing from the Bankwest ATM instore.

  • +1

First store didn't work -couldn't scan (or didn't want to give one out).
Second store was able to get it to scan/beep but it didn't show up for free I think.
It only worked AFTER he put the doughnut In the system THEN scanned.

-wasn't one of the 3 store on the map in Melbourne.

  • gonna try Pitt & Bathurst street Sydney…

  • The link doesnt work on my PC.. is it work internet or this is restricted to phones only? Good to mention in the desc if thats the case…

  • I tried Pitt street yesterday in Sydney right in the same street in Teds camera house and did not work, is that where you went? Might try again today this afternoon.

    • I had the same issue there with the Slurpee deal.

  • +6

yeah the same one… here is the response I got from 7-11

Please note that the vouchers are functioning correctly.

For any further issues, please have the staff member contact their support line who will guide them through the process.

To thank you for your feedback and to correct any wrong doing we would like to offer you 2 x Free Slurpee Vouchers as a gesture of goodwill that can be used at any 7-Eleven Store.

    • I also got the same reply as above to my complaint…

I felt like replying back with the comment:

      Thank you for the reply…

My Postal Address to send the 2 x Free Slurpee Vouchers is as follows:

      Mr ***** *******

      QLD, ****

But please note: That it should NOT be up to the Customers to be telling/showing your staff how to do this…
That should be up to YOU as an employer to make sure all employee's are trained to do their job properly…

But I feel if I had of, I wouldn't get my free Slurpee Vouchers :(

      • Haha.. I did actually reply to them with this suggestion… and the y replied back saying they will be forwarding the feedback to the 'Marketing team looking after this entire promotion" as if this is the first time this has happenned..

        • +1

LOL, yeah, as if it is the 1st time Asher… Well surprisingly My Free Slushy Vouchers arrived in the mail today, so thats a Bonus i guess….

  • +1

Did not work for me. Store on Sussex st.
Forgive my silliness but what do they mean by "Not for eservices barcode" because that's how girl rejected.

    • +3

I think it's to do with the type of barcode. Solution is to get them to enter in the number which is 9332104023038. (barcode number is shown on printed copies)

      • Thanks Sage, it won't scan on my phone but the manual barcode worked. Cheers :)

  • I tried this at a local 7-11, they said "sorry we're sold out" when I could clearly see 3-4 in the cabinet.

Wasn't going to argue over a donut so just left without my donut.

  • So, my friend and I went into the nearby 7/11 and tried to get 2 free donuts. They guy ended up giving up 50 free ones cause he was gonna chuck thme out anyways!

    • +1

      what?~!~

    • +5

      pics or it didn't happen.

    • +1

50 kk donuts wastage is too high, would believe 20 max.

      • +2

        24 in boxes, 25 in 5 bags

        • Well snap. I'm sorry I ever doubted you kyotoman
So lucky though because that really is poor business - to waste the boxes/bags as well as stock D:
I'm just salty because so jelly.
          Thanks for the reply!

  • I redeemed one this afternoon at Sydney CBD store at Elizabeth St (near Liverpool St, across Hyde Park). No hassle at all.

  • ONE USE ONLY? OR HAS ANYONE TRIED USING IT MULTIPLE TIMES AT DIFFERENT STORES?
    Has anyone tried?

    • Tried at 5 stores in melbourne cbd and around clayton. All worked, Clayton even asked how many I wanted(towards the end of the day) but I just left with one from each store. They all seem to know the voucher and the melb central one tried to deny me of it but I already had the donut in the bag.

  • +3

My complaint was escalated to the district manager who will be in contact with the franchisee and staff of one in Sydney to make sure they don't reject offers like these in the future.

So hahahaha in your face to the fool working the checkout who didn't know how to scan the code and the cheapskate manager who refused to honour the free slurpee deal. Karma is a bitch.

  • +1

    First post here:
Thanks for the OP - A friend and I went on a Food Safari around Melbourne CBD today and visiting 14 Stores (3 stores twice) All but 2 honoured the coupon. We went a little overboard but gave away a few along the way to some hungry peeps. So a productive day.

*The ones that rejected (Fed Square & Elizabeth St) said the coupon wouldn't scan - but we knew they weren't bothering to bring up the KK code - its fine we just told them we understand you may not want to give them out and didn't want to be greedy.

(Ps. A lot of ppl we bumped into along the way also used the code and most kk donuts were missing and limited Original stock was left. Thanks heaps. Crazy day. feeling fat.

    • That's so cool! thanks for sharing your story.

  • Got my donut at 7/11 petrol station at Casula on Camden Valley Way - they scanned the enlarged voucher on my smartphone .. too easy!!!

    • Accidentally negged you while trying to click next page, sorry 'bout that.

      • -1

I'm the one who brought it up to 0 from -1. I thought it was an unusual comment to downvote. Look43Bs, I got your back.

        • +2

          .. thx .. :-)

        • +1

But I can only bring this one back up to -1 :(
You're an every day hero watwatwat

  • Wasn't aware this was a generic voucher! First 7-11 I tried (Melb CBD) wouldn't honour it- there was only 1 doughnut left (and a jam filled one too) but guy at the counter said that the voucher wouldn't scan and asked me to try tomorrow. Went to another 7-11 and they honoured it- although all that was left was the original glazed.

  • Went to three store, one wouldn't accept it but the other two were good! Thanks

  • I cant seem to scan this into the passbook app on my iPhone 5. it says that this isn't a 'Pass'

  • Aww the linked page says no longer available

  • +4

Just went to the 7/11 on Victoria street, went to buy a sandwich and get the free KK. The guy said that the manager will only take print outs. I pointed out that the 7/11 site generates the passbook. He said no, so i asked to just purchase the Sandwich then and leave the KK. The guy then said that i had to buy the KK, i turned around and walked out..

Sent an email to customer service, see what they say.

    • +3

Why did he try and make you pay for it? Good work for letting support know. The people working in these stores can be pretty stupid.

    • Out of curiosity, was he Indian?

      • yeah

  • +1

Someone's gonna get the sack as someone already knows the rules as he refuses to honor it, try another store mate that places doesn't deserve your hard earned cash.

  • Thanks Op. No probs redeeming. Too easy.
