      LOL 10 mins later I'm walking out with a free slurpee.

      At first he wouldn't even scan it and said the promotion doesn't exist. Then he scans it and it doesn't work. Then calls his boss and turns out he needed to press the button on top of the scanner, not the regular scanner button.

        Yeah cause the top button activates the camera in the scanner as apposed to the laser, as they are dual scanners like Coles myer

          Myer has button activated camera scanners… Coles has a separate always active camera scanner mounted at about body level at checkouts and self checkouts.

          Well that's the case around here anyway.

    Anyone able to confirm whether this is their barcode? Looks like they give out the same one with absolutely no validation. Unlimited free large slurpees if you show them the code (no need to use any wallet app)?

      Probably ur 7/11 was incompetent. Some saying there's a button on top of the scanner to work properly. They could always enter the barcode number anyway

        They have tried to enter the barcode number but not successful.

        If everyone's barcode number is the same, I believe it won't be working.

    I printed this off.
    Used a few 10minute mail accounts.
    When it scanned over the counter, the guy looks at me saying it is $3.00
    I told him to type in the code.
    It states "half price $0.00"

    I confirm it works.

      I strongly suggest giving out email to them anyway since there are more offers in the next 4 weeks. Simply having this image is a rort which may make 7/11 withdraw the offer for everyone altogether. If they are getting emails in their database then they possibly won't question the validity of this offer.

    Scored free Slurpee! The 7/11 dude also didn't successfully get the register to approve the freebie when he scanned my barcode, but said "yeah just take it, it's okay!" anyway. He knows me though.. I'm a Slurpee-scrounging regular. Shamefully.

    I also made sure to show him the voucher thing on my phone prior to pouring the Slurpee, just to be polite I guess. I'd rather not stand there debating if he denied me the freebie while the Slurpee melted away in my hands, too.

    Bonus points for the 1 in 5 Rip-N-Win Prize thingo on the large cups at the moment. Potential double freebies! I, however, did not win anything this time. Except the fact the cup colours matched my shoes/attire. Sorry for my man-sized claw-like hand in the pic..

      This was supposed to end on 30/3/2015 however some 7elevens still have their old cup stock out. The promo cups are black and the standard large cups are azure.

      I, however, did not win anything this time.

      Won 2 from 2 Chupa Chups so far.

    My wife checked with the 7/11 operator before getting the slurpee since she'd heard of the problems some people were having. Operator told her the deal was invalid, and she was the 4th person who had come into the store today and not been permitted to get the deal.

    I'd give feedback to 7/11 about training their staff to be aware of promotions, but I can't find any mention of it on www.slurpee.com.au or www.7eleven.com.au or Facebook either, so either this is not intended to be public, or perhaps they also forgot to tell their web communications team?

    Can confirm it works at Carlingford NSW. However the operator kept saying it's 'half price' and not reading the other $0.00. Kept telling him that it's $0.00.
