Sunbeam Ta6440 Long 4 Slice Toaster $89 @ David Jones ($79 after $10 Cashback) (RRP $139)

60

DJ's currently has a special on this toaster for $89. Sunbeam are also doing cashback on a few things at the moment, including $10 on this model.

Seems likes decent price for a long slice toaster.

Update. As mentioned by Steptoe you can save an extra $10 at the good guys. $10 TGG store credit for purchase over $70. Valid until 17/04.

Edit. Deal expiry date relates to cashback. Not sure how long DJ's sale price is valid for.

(First post. Hopefully it's bargain enough and post is ok.)

Seems like an absolute waste to me…

A bit like your unsubstantiated comment then?

        $89 for a toaster… you can't work it out…

Unless this thing butters my bread I don't care…

        • $79 actually (or maybe $69 at TGG), but point taken now it's clear. I could have guessed, but maybe you just consider the 4 slice capacity is a waste.

If these reviews are any indication, it's probably not a toaster you'd want to own.

It's also 89 at The Good Guys and probably other stores too:

I've yet to read a review on any toaster where people are happy. We are in the market for one and every review seems to slate them.

Need a Kickstart for the Ultimate Toaster - perfectly toasted every time, be it bread or crumpets!

      • I feel your pain. We went through a stack of toasters that toasted unevenly or would burn the second slice or both or worse…. Gotta say the Kenwood (4 slice - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/101858) has been good. Main complaint is it doesn't do long slices like this…. But for that I just use the oven grill. Not ideal but what the hey.

Maybe not. I didn't check out reviews. I was considering based on positive feedback from my old man who has the 2 slice version. But he hasn't had for long.

Yeah, Good guys seems like it might be a better option with the extra $10 store credit mentioned above. Too bad for me though cos I've got a DJs gift card to spend.

  • Had one, awful toaster, broke after a few weeks. Got the Sunbeam Matchy Matchy toaster, much better.
