      A few web hosting companies offered free hosting for business in the past, hoping that these business will move to paid plans once they out-grow those free plans.

    The mobile site gives no useful information on the plans. There is no description of what the fields for each plan means.

    Sorry! sssssssasdasdasd.com.au is already taken!

          @Bellyup: indeed. Domain was modified only a month ago. It's a pretty site but all Google has about it is a stack of free offers and zero reviews.

    I thought a free account with "24/7" support sounded too good to be true. I saw that "24/7 Ticket Support" was clickable so I clicked it expecting some fine print or clarification. Nothing, it's just an empty anchor to the top of the page, as are all the other "Package Inclusion" headings.

    BTW I can see two possible catches. The first: "Excess bandwidth charges are charged at $1.00 ex GST. for every 1 Gigabyte over your allocation.", although it looks like you can sign up without a credit card (I didn't actually go through with it, CBF making up details to test)

    The second applies to all providers: if you are unwise enough to bundle your domain name with your web hosting, then the web host is in control of your domain name and can "hold it to ransom" if there is a dispute - but it looks like you don't have to bundle with SwitchHost.

      The "clickable" links in the package inclusions seem to be a web design decision. When you hover over them, some give a "tooltip" and it seems to me that this is their intended functionality, ie. not real links. It wasn't necessary to make them links to enable this functionality but it is what it is.

      You can definitely sign up without a credit card. Agree with keeping the domain name registrar and the hosting separate.

    Hi, I'm interested in this.. is webhosting between the free plan and paid plans hosted on the same server?

    so my dns settings wouldn't need to be changed if I upgraded plans?

      Yes, they are on the same sever. You are easily able to upgrade your plan without any changes.

        Further to that, I applied for this last night and support has said it'd be ready in an hours time (at 12pm) - still nothing and no updates.

        Not sure how well the support will be for this site and If I can trust them in the long run

      Yeh their website isn't very detailed and support answers very generically as though they're trying to hide that the free service has cons.. because they keep ignoring my exact question about the security
