@belbo: Well, as an update to the above, you can also send an sms to get a balance from the device's management page. With a device that is connected to it enter 192.168.1.1. Default username and password are admin. In the inbox in the sms section there should be a welcome sms with the phone number. From the sms section you can also text "balance" to 9999 to get balance confirmation. BTW - I watched Netflix on my phone today - probably for around 90 mins. Device worked very nicely - but I was holding it right next to my phone. Used up 1gb.
