        • @belbo: Well, as an update to the above, you can also send an sms to get a balance from the device's management page. With a device that is connected to it enter 192.168.1.1. Default username and password are admin. In the inbox in the sms section there should be a welcome sms with the phone number. From the sms section you can also text "balance" to 9999 to get balance confirmation. BTW - I watched Netflix on my phone today - probably for around 90 mins. Device worked very nicely - but I was holding it right next to my phone. Used up 1gb.

        • @belbo: And it looks like you can also go to optus.com.au/prepaidbalance while connected via the device. Confirms your phone number and balance. Not sure if that had my details because I already had an account - but prob not (?)

  • Is the wall-charger included in the package?

    • Yes.

Does the device come unlocked? I.e. Can be used with any SIM? Thanks!

    • yes, it's unlocked.

    • I just picked one up, and it worked fine when I put a Vodafone SIM. Not sure if they're all unlocked, but the batch that my one is from is definitely unlocked.

  • Did anyone get the code in an sms in the bundled sim. Still no sms, logged into the modem interface and checked.

Just got a email for this mobile broadband device with my Netflix Voucher, no SMS hassle. Super Happy :) Activated about a week ago FYI

    • Same here, got it yesterday evening around 6-30PM. Time to activate the other two kits now :D. Signed up a trial, so I have 4 months of Netflix HD in balance now

Tried to get a price match in Harvey Norman Richmond, they said it was "below cost price, nothing we can do about that". (profanity) those (profanity), just got it from officeworks instead.

    • They checked their cost price and the guy was quick at switching screens but I'm pretty sure it was in the $30 mark.

Either way they price matched it with Officeworks even though it was out of stock but wouldn't do it with AusPost for some reason

Same price either way so I wasn't complaining

Also regardless they are still suppose to price match - http://www.harveynorman.com.au/customer-service/best-price-g…

Got this price matched at Kmart for $24.50. Showed them the auspost catalogue. Very easy, no details requested either.
