20% off All Flights to and within South America with LAN Airlines

110

I just scored what I consider to be incredibly good fares within South America.

I got 2 x Economy tickets: Santiago (Chile) > Guayaquil > Baltra (Galapagos)> Cusco for just under $1300 (so around $650 each). Considering how expensive flights usually are within South America, I'm pretty stoked.

Flights just to Baltra (via Guayaquil) alone are $568 (on the same day, so I'm essentially getting the flight to Cusco for $82. I'm not sure why, but it looks like there are extra discounts when you go multi-city.

20% discount is valid for travels within destinations in South America in Economy class. Sale is exclusive for LAN.com and must be purchased by 17 April 2015. Discount will apply at checkout (step 3).

Purchase your tickets with an exclusive 20% discount in LAN.com in all flights from Australia to South America, and all regional and domestic flights between Santiago, Lima, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo and more! Fly from 1 of May to 30 of November 2015.

  • i've heard it's cheaper to purchase flights using a VPN in said country.
I've never done this myself though.

    • I have heard that, but I think it can be risky as apparently they have "local fares" - so as a foreigner you may have to pay the difference once you're at the airport or something like that.

I did it a few years ago, no issues…I still get spam from LAN & one of the Brazilian carriers.

But those prices are quite good.

    • Domestic flights with LAN in South America America are always cheaper when booked through that country's site, however the OP's are international. The exception to this rule is Peru, where you have to be a Peruvian resident access the super cheap fares.

  • Its not only within South America…flights from Australia to South America are also discounted. This is on their website

    Say SÍ to South America!

        Are you flying one way?

        • Return flight, your one is single right?

        • @CrazyMexican:

Yup, you should be able to get return much cheaper - like 1500-1600 normally through Qantas.

Also, make sure you click through to the Step 3 - Purchase screen. It'll add the discount there.

        • @wem77: thanks wem77, unfortunately is still around 2000$ for me, its not bad but not such a bargain >.<, may wait for a future deal :D

        • @CrazyMexican:

          Good luck!

      • I got them $1365 return from brisbane. Booked through flight centre.

  • Awesome, now that Air New Zealend will be heading to B.A. from December ;-) we will start getting some cheap fares when they start as well :) win, win.

    • Agreed! LAN and qantas have had a duopoly on this route for far too long! Probably wouldn't fly with airnz as I'm based in Santiago and a LAN FF but some competition world be great. Last time I flew back to Aus from Santiago I went via the US because return tickets were half the price of the direct Santiago-Sydney-Santiago flight… and because my FF status with LAN gets me into the qantas first class lounge in L.A. ;)
