    No MicroSD card slot :(

Change the currency at the top to AUD, you'll get a better price.

Also, I added to cart, applied the coupon and it came down to $411. Which isn't half bad (I just don't need a new phone)

All ur Comms r belong to China… :)

I'm curious to what makes this appealing? There are too many bells and whistles on this that make it undesirable.

1080p squeezed into 5 inches? I think that's going to kill the battery life along with any casual usage of the camera. Unless this phone is heavy, I doubt it will meet the usual standards…

For example even a cheapo phones can play video for over 12 hours, whilst this tiny unicorn can only do 7 hours maximum…

    • Umm, you realise that even 1080p is outdated on most flagships these days? Where have you been?
And Xiaomi is one the guys who release quality products at a decent price.
Not that I'm a fan of the ever increasing resolutions and ppi, but it doesn't look like it is going to stop anytime soon. Reminds me of the megapixel wars a couple of years ago.

Umm, you realise that even 1080p is outdated on most flagships these days?

you realise that a good proportion of people don't have good vision? To some, even 720 on 5" would seem too high.

          do you even?

      • Totally agree

1080p on 5" is better than 720p on 5". 1080p IS necessary to look as good as possible, QHD is not. And ya, where have you been? 5" 1080p flagships have been around since late 2012. A 3080mAh is plenty for a 5" 1080p phone too.

    • For flagship specs its pretty good for 8h 32 min battery life. iPhone 6 has 5h 22 min.

I have the td lte version one. Yes yes i know i was stupid but its really good phone. Battery life is awesome too

Let me put it this way, the MI4 is a damn good phone, but AU$447 for the 16GB version? As much as I like the phone it's not a bargain.

For around this price wouldn't you just go for the LG g3?

I have the redmi note 4G….. Amazing battery life after rooting it and removing all the crap ware

    From the review:

"Xiao-what? Yeah, we better start with the name, since you'll be looking at it for a while: It's pronounced “SHАW-MI”."

No it fking is not pronounced that way.

  • The china phones they sometimes have amazing specs for the price but they always skimp out on other things, like research into ergonomics for better usability. This one don't have some kind of anti-scratch technology for the glass? I just can't go without.

    • What? Even branded phones don't put anti-scratch technology in the glass, to force you to buy their screen protector and cases.
