Hi
I was reversing my car and hit the wall and it broke and hit the gas water system in my own house.
I don't have home and contents insurance.
The car looks smashed up .
How do I word it to Rac ..it was an accident and possibly get some sort of damages ?
Help is really appreciated as I am stressed out to the core

except the damage to your property, is not a third party… unless your home is under someone else's name… then you have technically damaged a "third party's" property
You will not get covered for the car as it was your fault, and no way to prove otherwise. (and you would be lying if you said someone else hit you)

If you have comprehensive, insurance can repair your car even if you're at fault, as long as you pay the excess fee and don't mind possibly having an increased premium. Probably won't cover the house though
From the RAC comprehensive car insurance PDS:
We will cover your liability for accidental damage caused to another person’s property arising from an incident which involves your car, or a trailer or a caravan attached to it.
We do not cover:
Your liability if the property damaged is your own or is in your custody or belongs to or is in the custody of your spouse, child or other person normally living with you.
Seems that you cannot claim on your car insurance policy for the damage you have done to your wall and hot water system. Still, it can't hurt to ask.
Slightly OT, but please, please, please look into getting home and contents insurance. You really can't afford to be without it.
Do you have comprehensive car insurance? If so, just ring your insurer and explain what happened. There's no need to "word it" in any way other than to tell the truth.
