  • Hey OP

Do you happen to know the weight of the blanket?

oo.com.au had a 24hr sale last week which was abt ~$10 cheaper across the board for all sizes. They currently have 10% off store wide sale too…..i went with them instead of Aldi as i wanted super king

I have a 550GSM one and it's way too heavy for the current climate. Probably best to go with 450 GSM.

  • I read that the Aldi wool is raised ion Goulburn NSW.

  • Is Aldi wool quits machine washable?. Probably better off going with one that is if you ever want to clean it that way.

    • I bought kig size. Its dry clean only

What I saw on the photo was that there are not boxed in parts to hold the stuffing in place. The long rills mean that eventually the stuffing will move down to the sides off the bed.

    • These type of quilts should be regularly shaken to evenly distribute the filling. This is ok as it also airs the quilt. Early model Australian "doonas" were made this way when the concept was first introduced to the country.

Went to my local store on the first evening and all Queen and King sizes were gone.

Same here. Either that, or they only ever received Single sizes. Adults are the ones doing the buying, and most of them don't sleep on single mattresses.

I slept on a single mattress until i got married.

        • I'm single and I've been sleeping on a queen mattress for years. I should be so lucky.

I use a Jason Wool Quilt 500GSM Qeeen size machine washable that I recently bought from Harris Scarfe for $79.95 which is only $10 more than this non washable Wool quilt from Aldi is. Although since been completely sold out from Harris Scarfe.
